Hm... that's not a great start to a fast. Remember, you can always have it tomorrow. That's on top of today, of course.:D
Nah - it's not every day I get offered free ice cream! And they had my favourite flavour (rum and raisin). I did decline it at the first offer, and had been for a couple of miles of a walk if they count for anything in mitigation...?
Thought not!
Well, at least I'm not trying to slim into my dress for Saturday0 -
I'm just working through the peer reviews for the Ariely course. I've never done any marking before so it has been quite an eye opener. Mine range from "really, you submitted that?" through to "wow, kudos, wish I could have written that". As much as anything else, it is interesting to see what people consider as problems. Unfortunately one of the ones that will get a lower mark is absolutely hilarious. I wish I could give it an extra couple of points for entertainment value. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

As of yesterday I have redefined "a good day at the office" as one where you keep your knickers on all day and do not show your important little places to any colleagues.:(0

Ooh - how interesting!
How many have you got to review? Have you been given guidelines to mark against?
I was unsure whether to bother writing something (I had a couple of ideas), then decided the time it would take (even bearing in mind I probably wouldn't have spent as much time as I should) versus likelihood of getting a pass mark probably didn't look too good, so didn't go for it in the end.0 -

Spirit, We have had a very negative influence on you,
Speaking of which. I need an address for the microvable soup thing.. I thought of sending it to work but thought sending it just to your first name wouldn't reach you :rotfl:

Er, nope.
I don't really think e writing is different from old fashioned writing, and my honest belief is that people focus on the wrong thing (marketing) before they sort out the right thing (writing a book that's worth reading) because of all the hype about e-thingies is kind of distracting.
It's not hard to make a print on demand book that's decent; it's not hard to make an ebook. But it is hard to write really good stories and make the art for really good covers.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Unfortunately, it doesn't. You're not allowed to eat back calories. Sorry:D
Looks like you're going to have to get a diuretic and pee for Britain.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

This is a blog seminar rather than a book one. The technical side of blogging really worries me and is where I keep stalling. Pn told me to get lots of back writing in place before worrying about it, so started that but then the worry of the technical side got bigger and bigger and squashed me like a fly. Well. Not quote squashed. More electrocuted, like a tennis racket fly swot. Attached to the requisite.....0
