3, all boys... And I was so looking forward to buying pink and sparkly stuff! As it is it's pirates and cars... Though we found the our girls' Play Mobil people and their school bus when clearing out the loft at old house, and they're quite popular too.
DD2 has twins, will be 4 in May. DD1 has just the one so far, he's at the very messy eating stage! :rotfl:0 -
I have given my boys instructions that they need to produce grand daughters for me!
Birthday greetings Doozer and NDG!
I second the gel polish idea for Nikks. If you go for gels (rather than the cheap acrylics offered by HighStreet nail bars) you can remove them yourself when you are bored with them. If you have a large Tesco with a nail bar in it, you can get OPI for £15. Though I find it rather sad that this is yet another area to which Tesco extends their world dominating arms, it is good value.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Isaac adores the dolls' house my grandfather made for my mother when she was a child. He has no time for dolls in it, but loves the furniture, and the fact that lights turn on and off. My grandfather was good at carpentry, and so the doors open, the stairs are impressive, and he made some of the furniture, too.
He wore a fair few pink babygros and cardigans as an infant - my mother had stashed some from when we were little, and she didn't see much reason to buy new baby clothes for her fourth, a boy, after having 3 girls. I reckoned a small baby wouldn't care either, and this one won't get to object much!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I have some of my moms old toys that I played with, some of which have been handed down to my DD's.
I think the favorite of these was a Russian oak dolls house (1960s), which was complete with furniture etc. It was one of the few things that hasn't been left somewhere (Georgia, Italy, Spain; we moved a lot in the first 3 years post-USSR) when we've moved, and is probably worth a fortune now, but I still can't bring myself to get rid of it.💙💛 💔0 -

Lol. :rotfl: I don't like a fuss over them. It was an odd one this year because of dynamics/ schedules here. I thought I'd have to be out of kitchen all day yesterday, turned out not to be the case, so that was fun..

I had my PET scan on my wedding anniversary and my surgery on my birthday this year. At least I'll remember it!
I'm going back to work tomorrow to do a half day or so. I'll see how it goes from there.0 -
Two years ago today, I moved back to live with my parents. What a difference 24 months makes!0

She was being charming. She is actually quite fun when she decides to be charming. The stressful bit is that you never know which SiL is going to show up and if I give her the same treatment back she's handing out I end up taking a load of crap for it.
Frankly, I'd be quite happy to say, "If you can't be civil then f off out of my house and come back when you can".
There are 6,999,999,998 people on the planet to whom I'd be perfectly happy to say that. 1 of the 7 billion who I am not is my mother, the other is SiL because frankly it's not worth the aggro I get afterwards.0
