I am hopeful that the judge will see the irony of it. His court packed with PE big wigs over a ten minute overstay in a free car park.

The stuff which legal dreams are made of.

Essentially, we've already seen the judges intervene, and tomorrow isn't the last of it as there are contempt of court hearings later in the year (June wasn't it?) where PE directors could actually be facing jail sentences. (Remember the toothbrush comment? That was telling the solicitor that if they didn't stop all the cases she'd be jailed for contempt. Judges have very wide sentencing powers over perjury and contempt, don't underestimate how much trouble PE are in in court). Google sword of truth...
Unless you know differently, and if memory serves the MD of Excel/VCS (its the same chap) was in Court in June 2013 following the Ms Coates and the "toothbrush" moment during the Ibbotson case. As this was a matter between Simon Renshaw-Smith and the esteem Judge McIlwaine we didn't get to hear the result to the best of my knowledge. I would have paid a goodly sum to have been witness to SR-S getting a wigging.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

Makes you wonder about Capita's due diligence process when they acquired this outfit.
    Bet the shareholders are thrilled!

I'll tell you a story about Capita's due diligence ...

I worked for an IT company a few years ago that was a Cisco partner. Capita lost out on a huge contract with Birmingham City Council because they didn't have Cisco telephone expertise. In order to prevent this happening again they purchased the company I worked for. The cost was £16m.

The owner didn't want to sell but given he only valued his company at around £5m he decided to cut and run ( understandably ). The reason Capita paid so much ?

A couple of years later I was in conversation with a couple of people at Capita involved in the purchase and they said had they known the facts they would not have bought the company.

The reason they bought the company ? They thought the company was a Cisco Gold Partner ..... it wasn't and this was easy to check within three clicks on the Cisco website.

Due diligence and Capita go together as well as Parking Eye and legality.

    Facts:
Crapita win TfL congestion charging and low emission zone contract
    Crapita purchase PE
    Crapita purchase Car Parking Partnership

Those facts are unlikely to be unconnected. PE and CPP have substantial back-office functions used to issuing substantial numbers of "tickets". PE may claim to have ANPR "expertise".

Agreed but most of the back office functions were already within Equita ( a Capita owned company ). The legal functions they already had within Optima ( a Capita owned company ). I think they purchased PE and CPP for the contracts they held rather than any office function.

However, having struggled to retain and regain such contracts by buying these companies out their expertise is denied to the opposition. Either that or Crapita know something's coming down the line and they have never been that close to government have they?
