I shall certainly give the sainsburys a try, we used to be coke addicts (the carbonated variety) so saved a fortune moving to tea in the first place but if we can seriously reduce that bill we're onto a winner :-) if we dont like them ill try the lidl thanks guys!Original Mortgage: 75000

and yet another vote from a Yorkshire lass for the Sainsbury's basic.
Always used to drink Tetley tea but I have been enjoying Sainsbury's for over a year now. If you like loose tea then Sainsbury's do one that is lovely - it's what they serve in their cafe. Think it's called Red Label (or something like that). Not normally a fan of loose tea but I really do enjoy a cup of that if I pop into the cafe. Not as cheap as the basic but I don't think it's bad value.0 -
I read this thread this morning before I went into town. I must admit, I was very sceptical about the 27p Sainsburys teabags. I like to buy Yorkshire/PG but only when on offer.
I bought some Sainsburys and my goodness me:) how wonderful they are! I was even tempted to take a picture of my builders tea
Thanks all!!Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

I'm currently sitting drinking a lovely cup of sainsburys basics tea. Wouldn't buy anything else. The price is awesome! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Another vote for Sainsbury's basics. I love a proper cup of tea, and usually buy, Tetley, extra strong, or Yorkshire Gold, but these are incredible for the price, and will definitely buy these in future. Very MSE, Thanks Willowpop0

Why economise on something as essential as tea? it is relatively cheap compared to coffee, so buy the best you can! That is my reconing, anyway0

I think Mr. S has been reading this thread. The price has gone up from 27p to 30p.0
