I am frugal, in that I don't waste money. I don't have a lot of cash to waste anyway but neither do most of my friends!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

It seemed to me when working with the public That generally the people who had loads of money and titles were the most tight fisted and the biggest debters when it came to their accounts:kisses3: Married 29th September 2012

I've got a Nephew that's a multi-millionaire, he's in the Sunday Times rich list. Some birthdays and Christmas times i don't even get a card, perhaps an email one, And presents again quite often nothing a few years i've had calander, one year got a packet of garden seeds. Last Christmas he gave me a box of chocolates but not even wrapped up.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

My ex was mean and so was his family. He needed to know the cost of everything and if I gave him a present it got given away until one day I snapped and demanded one to be returned as he didn't like it - never bought him a thing after that.
One day we came home and was walking up the stairs to his flat when we bumped into a scruffy looking tramp coming down the stairs (when I mean scruffy, he really was dirty wearing raggedy clothes and he stunk to high heaven of l'eau de wee) - turns out it was my now ex's dad who is a multi millionaire. I could then see where my now ex got his mean ness from, neither of them nor his sisters whenever I spoke to them had a kind word to say about anybody. They would always steal too - I once left a purse in the flat with about £100 in it, when I next went out and picked up the purse, I thought it was a bit light and looked in it and the money had gone. Ex thought this was funny and said that anything left in his flat by me was his to do what he wanted with - I wonder what he did with my favourite silver earrings because I never saw them again nor the £100 that had been nicked from my purse.
I may be skint but I do not steal and I am not mean - I am also a lot happier since I kicked the ex and his weird family into touch.:D0 -

Does he treat most people the same way? I would rather be skint, than stinking rich and lacking in the ability to treat those closest to me kindly and with respect. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -

Pretty much so, growing up he was a pretty nice lad we might have seen only once a month or less. But it was when he started his internet business and it started to take off that his Dad (or step-dad who had brought him up for 25yrs) said to me how mean he could be. i'd never noticed. So as a child i only expected and was quite happy that he never spent anything. Since the money has arrived his Dad has been bin-bagged and lives in a rented flat, my Sister spends 6mths of the year in Barbados with her gigalo.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Are you close otherwise? I don't have any aunts or uncles as my parents were both only children, but my husband doesn't buy birthday presents or cards for any of his aunts or uncles (or receive them for that matter) and although we send a card at Christmas and receive one back, we've never exchanged presents then either.
Just because he is super-wealthy doesn't mean he has to buy presents for everyone he knows or is distantly related to you know!0 -
My husband drives a cab part time, has done for years. If he drops off at a gated house in Alderley Edge or somewhere, he is lucky to get 10p tip. Conversely, if he drops off in a council estate they usually round up to the nearest note without thinking twice. (And no, it's not a lucrative job before anyone pipes up!)0
