It really does good to get the little things of your chest, sometimes they trivial but it's the build up!!
I hope that £900 was well needed and they weren't at least ripping you off...
I did actually manage to get down to the park today and have a splash in puddles with DS1 ...he LOVED it(until he had to go back in his pram..) & is now snoring away haha :-)People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Feeling a bit better now, took DD to doc who said she was fine so off she went to nursery. I'm now at home (supposedly doing housework, does mse count?!). Feeling a bit bad though as this is the first time I've dropped her off and she's started crying :-(
The rather large garage bill was indeed needed...it's a garage we've always used and they're good guys. Unfortunately the back brakes on both sides were knackered on the car, so that needed done on top of a full service, plus a hole in the exhaust was fixed, plus a few minor things they actually done for free...it b***dy well better pass it's MOT next month!!0 -
Any tips on what to do when DS1 hits? He has started doing it a lot more...its when he is frustrated because I have taken something off him mainly. He makes this noise and hits you.
Should I ignore him? Shout at him? Just say no?
I know it's not going to go away over night but I feel like by saying no he does it more cause he thinks its funny and if I sternly tell him off he sits on the floor bawling his eyes out... but if I ignore it he is going to think he can get away with it lol. Hum.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Definitely say no, in your sternest voice, and that he's not to hit mum. Then if her wants to sit and bawl his eyes out, let him.0 -

Agree with maman. That's just what I've done with my DS who's 3, and I'd just like to add be consistent with this approach and it will work. It just needs time to sink in.;)SPC7 ~ Member#390 ~ £432.45 declared :j

Humanities project for year 9 DS#1 - build a working volcano - yes you've read that right a working volcano with lava and al that!
PLUS revise for seriously important science exam that determines whether you do triple science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry GCSE) or double science (I don't even know what that is but know that DS#1 needs to do Physics as GCSE to get into uni)
'TOPIC' for year 5 DS#2 - on an A3 poster (no paper supplied) write about the Titanic, find out the route it took & draw map(s), find out about 'Molly' Brown and write about her, find out how much it would cost in today's money for you and your family to travel on the Titanic, and describe what's happening in a tiny (7cm x 4cm) black and white picture (that I can't find on the internet)!

Sorry - I gave HW for half term.
Year 1 - go to a shop, buy something with a 50p coin, what coins do you get in your change?
My moan is that my 7 yr old daughter is fighting me twice a day over brushing her teeth and getting dressed. The lack of urgency over half term means she thinks we have all day to lounge about in PJs.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Just wanted a moan again so thought I'd come back to my old thread !!
Kids are a bit older now (18months and 2 and half) but feeling stressed today although no reason other then kids being nuisances. My eldest is the most hyper active two year old you will ever meet (my youngest is an angel compared to him lol) and just doesn't stop unless he is asleep...luckily nanny is having them at 11 for a bit so I just have to hold off a bit longer before I can get some work done #sigh.
Would do anything to have a day to myself but with a house that needs cleaning two kids and a business it just doesn't stop!!People don't know what they want until you show them.0
