Looks like 32 days have been paid due to the 1st being on a Sunday, at least in my case

Not sure why Earthboy's June payment has been rounded up and mine hasn't!

    Where is my 1p!

    Yes, it's about working days.

If May 3rd were to be a Monday, then the interest paid at the end of the first working day (Tuesday 4th May) would take into account the first three calendar days of May as well as April days.

Just a quick question, I tried to open one of these accounts online and I got no confirmation email so phoned up and they then said they couldn't find any online application for me. So I went and did an application over the phone which was all fine. So I logged on today and I see that there are 2 TSB Classic Plus accounts, I am assuming that the phone application didn't open 2 accounts for me and somehow the online application has gone through?

Or do you get 2 accounts when you apply? I am only going to need to use 1 account though but is it ok to just keep the other one open, it won't affect anything will it?

You don't automatically get two accounts when you apply so would assume that the online application has gone through as well as the phone one.

You could keep both open and set up a SO to transfer £500 between the two accounts to satisfy the condition of receiving the 5% interest (make sure you switch to paperless statements for both accounts) unless of course you are going to use as a current account and only need one.

Thanks for the confirmation Snowbelle. I'll just keep it open as I can't be bothered trying to phone or write in to close it down. I will actually be transfering in money from my Santander account and then back to it as I like to have a buffer in the Santander account as that is where all my bills come from. This is actually my 5th current account lol.

Your post is unclear. Do you currently have one sole each, or two sole each? Or do you have two joint? Or what?

I understand the 'rules' say you can have two sole each max, and then a couple of joint making six in total. Joint accounts can't be applied for online.

Doesn't matter. Call them 1, 2, & 3, then set the SOs up as 1-2-3-1

However, you clearly have more than £4K if you need a 3rd account, so in your shoes I'd grab two more sole accounts so you have room for £8K...just in case TSB introduce a 'one sole each' clause (no insider knowledge...just like to cover all bases!).
