    Where does it say that?
    In the Personal Banking T&Cs...

Am I right thinking that it is possible to register to receive gross credit interest by telephone?

I've just called and been told no but will try again tomorrow if someone could confirm I'm correct.

Condition 9.4 (of the Personal Banking T&Cs linked above), although a tad ambiguous, seems to suggest you can call them and register...or maybe it says you can call them and ask them to send you a form? What's your interpretation?

Condition 9.4 seems to say you have to complete an R85 form (which you can request by calling them)?

Thanks for directing me to that. I seem to remember reading (here) that people had called up to do this. Indeed condition 9.4 says "or by calling us" with regards to registering.

Just noticed your edit. Yes, it is a bit ambiguous. To me it says you either give them the form (which is available in branch or from HMRC) or you call them (instead of filling in a form). I'll query this with them when I call tomorrow if they say not possible.

OK, I sit corrected. Although it does seem to infer 2 months rather than 60 days.

    *Pedantry alert*

It implies 2 months, you infer it!

I opened an account on the 9th of May and instantly put in £2,000.

What day does TSB pay interest? The first business day of the following calendar month?

Also, how do you open a second Classic Plus account? Can you do so online, or do you have to go in branch or call?
