Strange. Well I suppose it's not strange as everybody's account opening experience seems different!
haha you are certainly right there! lots of people, different experiences.
funny thing is. I don't seem to have any trouble opening accounts, it's just the afterwards that I have the trouble with..:)0 -
I managed to open two accounts more or less straight after each other. I got a letter shortly afterwards saying:
"Dear [My name],
As you may know, [my name] has registered for our Internet Banking service. This means they will be able to go online and access any joint accounts you both hold. However, they won't be able to see any accounts just in your name."
I just thought it was odd how it was worded, as if they think I've opened a joint account but I haven't. Talking to me as if I am also the third person. I've carried on as normal since and funded both accounts, got PINs and debit cards and an activation code.
Hadn't seen anyone mention it so thought I would.0 -

Odd as it may be, i had the same letter and yes it was strange in it's wording !!!I choose the rooms that I live in with care,

My OH also had one of these letters - I asked him to phone CS about it as I thought it must be a mistake. They confirmed that it was sent in error and that his account was not in joint names. OH received an almost identical letter from Halifax a few years ago when I requested internet access for our joint account.
My other gripe so far with TSB is that our address was incomplete on the debit cards letters, with both the town we live in and the nearest postal town missing (no county either, but that's usual). It's not like they've never heard of our small town as they have a branch here. I'm actually surprised we received the debit cards as our postal service here isn't terribly efficient. Both the pin numbers and activation code notifications were correctly addressed though."Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it": Ferris Bueller

Hi
My Accounts been open since 5th April and there is £1990 in there. I have registered for online banking and set statements to paperless, but I am yet to receive any interest.
Any ideas why?
What have I missed?
Thanks

Check your account type to make sure you opened the correct one. You need the Classic Plus account. The ordinary Classic account doesn't pay any interest.
If you've got the correct account then you need to ring TSB and ask them why you haven't got any interest.0 -

Do you have any email at all? I would wait 7 days and then contact them.0
