Is it Easter week ? I got Queen for 28th so may be the Saturday night only that is the issue. I'd call the hotel personally tomorrow evening (weekday during Vegas business hours ) and work that English accent for all it's worth ;). Sounds daft but it has always worked for me - bit of chat, best British accent and fully booked evaporates in Vegas.

If all else fails it'll be the $20 trick (think of it as your first gamble in Vegas)

And yes it isn't TC's fault according to the paperwork as the confirmation says King. Did you book in a shop or on the net or by phone ? How was it "only just brought to our attention?"

But when we booked we were under the impression it was a 2 bed room and we did ask this verbally

it's not Easter but it is the end of the spring break period and it looks like there's a 1600 person conference at Aria for the first several days of the stay so that may be contributing.

If the reservation says king then I'm not sure what more TC can do unless you can document that you were told there would be 2 beds in each room? King room will always mean king bed and not 2 queens in the US as far as I know.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

On the phone or in a TC shop?
If by phone tell them you want the call pulled and listened to by a manager. (TC record all calls to their call centres)

It wasn't until we see the tickets come through last week we relised it was a king... We also thought double meant double as in 2 beds

We are hoping the last who booked the holiday is going to hold up her hands and admit the error tomorrow as she has been off

    A double means one bed.

Did you pay the premium for 2 queens, I looked on the TC website and there is a premium for the 2 queens over the King

Unsure - we presumed we had... Not sure in all honesty I probably think not

Well if you bought a double bed in a shop .....you'd only expect one bed......however if you're inexperienced travellers I'd expect a travel agent to make it clear what you've booked and it's fairly unlikely 4 lads on a lads trip would want to share a bed unless they stated otherwise I suppose.

Not sure she'll admit it even if she has made a mistake. Would you consider switching hotel -if so maybe try and get Cooks to waive the change fees and do that ? Realistically you're now in a "he said/she said" situation.
