Hi,
We have booked a holiday with Thomas Cook - 4 males travelling - we believed we had booked 2 queen rooms which have 2 beds in each but Thomas cook have booked 2 king rooms which have 1 bed in. We travel in 19 days and it's only just been brought to out attention that the error has been made. There are no longer queen rooms to stay in. We have been offered a roll out bed but I don't think this is an option we want to go down. Do you guys have any advice. We are struggling and this is already ruining our Vegas experience.
Thanks

which hotel and what type of room?
bed type is normally a request not a guarantee so surprised that 'there are no longer queen rooms to stay in'...particularly as, in our experience, king rooms are more difficult to get than 2-queen rooms.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Room types are never gteed so you couldnt be gteed 2 queen beds. having said that you will more than likely be able to get 2 queens at check in.
Even if you get a rollaway it wont spoil your holiday as the rollaways are full size single mattresses and comfortable.
which hotel is it0 -

Aria.
We were told we booked a 2 queen room when we booked as this is the more expensive room. The rooms aren't allocated as they are 2 different room types.
Thanks for your help.0 -
Aria is one of a few I havent stayed at and it does indeed look like they dont have many 2 queen rooms going by their website.
Would a rollaway be that bad if you couldnt get 2 queens0 -
Shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Email the hotel direct and request rooms with 2 beds.
What did the room type say on the confirmation TC gave/sent you when you first booked ?
(I've stayed in hotels all over Vegas and never had an issue getting a room with two beds even at peak times)
Worst scenario is a room with a king and a rollaway bed but I really can't see it coming to that. Aria is huge - so long as they know in advance (from your email) they'll sort you out at check in.

Our issue is we spent £1000 each expecting a proper bed each we feel that is too much to be sleeping on the floor so would be right to seek compensation?0

Thanks duchy - for some reason aria are saying all queens rooms have been sold?!0

Sorry but that's rubbish. I used to work for Cooks -they DO talk utter nonsense at times....
What they WILL be saying is they cannot 100% guarantee you rooms with 2 beds ....because hotels won't give them 101% guarantee. The reality is Vegas hotels are massive and so long as you alert them direct they will do everything they can to give you what you need. Forget Cooks - call or email the hotel direct.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
