Thank you to everyone who replied and offered advice, sorry i cant reply to you all individually because my internet credit is running precariously low and i dont want to run out.
I was quite brief yesterday because it was a very mentally draining day for me, i always thought the interview was the toughest part but it isn't, starting only on a trial period was a massive step for me to take and i never imagined how much effort i had to put in. I really was so close to bottling it in the morning! With regards to taking a book, well i asked my auntie for 1 this morning and told her why and she was in agreement with most of you and thought that would make me look rude. She says if she finds me with a book i'll get a clip round the ear :rotfl:
Today went very well and lunch wasn't that difficult either, especially knowing i'm not the only MU fan, so there was something to discuss. Oh and with my mum, i only replied saying thanks, i was tempted to try start a conversation but thought she would ignore me and as you said Amper, baby stepsits mothers day soon, any suggestions?
I'll try keep you all updated as best as i can and hopefully get some more credit asap.Actions have reactions,

Question though, if and when they ask you what you did in the past are you going to be honest or lie?Actions have reactions,

Oh god that hasn't even crossed my mind, i was hoping the boss told them  if they do ask i can only be honest, i wouldn't want to lose their respect by lying. They're quite a decent bunch.
Ps. Your boss is unlikely to tell them because its not their place to.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
It's very unlikely that your boss will tell them because it would be a breach of the data protection act. This kind of sensitive personal information is on a 'need to know' basis.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Only saw this thread this evening, and it's the first one in a long time I've read from end to end (apart from mental filtering of some of the earlier negative and downright idiotic prejudiced comments)
Not that it really matters now you're in there but, running a small business which is hoping to start employing in the next year or so, I found myself hoping that we get applicants with even half of your determination, drive and open honesty!
Well done doesn't really cover it but there isn't much else to say, so well done!0 -

Well done doesn't really cover it but there isn't much else to say, so well done!if you do ever get an applicant like me, now you will have a better understanding of how difficult it is to make a fresh start. I have a long road ahead of me and knowing the cost of my complete failure, it has given me even more determination to succeed.

I'm very sorry to say this, but i will not be able to update for a few weeks
my internet credit will be gone soon and i have no more money to get some. The money i received from the jobcentre is going on a new bike (£79.99 at halfords BARGAIN!) a helmet, waterproof jacket and something for my mum for mothers day. That is me spent until i get paid. I hope when i return i can tell you all they have taken me on full time, so fingers crossed!
I would just like to thank you all for everything, its nice having people to talk to who offer advice and encouragement without passing judgement on me, because boy did i need it.Actions have reactions,
