Evening all,
Not got too much planned for tonight - was going to pop round the remainder of the rent and move some more bits in, but OH had to go to Somerset today and will be back late due to the A38 being closed.
So, my plans are to do the ironing, have got another washload on and make dinner. Maybe do some Ebay listings if I get chance.
Dinner is cottage pie followed by raspberry cheesecake - reduced to 99p in safeway yesterday.
Hope you all had a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

They take a while but are yummy, when turning you can spray more of the fry light - still a lot less fat than fried chips! Hope they work out for you!
This is the way i make the slimming world chips, they free on a green day and sooooooo nice lolThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear

Evening all,
JackieO have been thinking of you all week, good luck tomorrow. Hugs to all in need and congratulations to all who are celebrating.
Eventually gave in and bought a new wm to-day, its coming to-morrow, probably much cheaper than using all the energy with the other one.
Bright spells and thunderous rain here all day, got some clothes in off line which are almost dry so they will finish off on airer.
Went out for lunch, OH and I halved the bill, so €16 spent of my food budget
but it was good not to have to cook. Bought some stewing beef to make goulash for which I got the recipe on the People's Cookbook programme last night..will have to-morrow.
Haven't ventured into garden, hopefully might get to do something with grandsons to-morrow...will use greenhouse if it rains, anything to keep them away from the dreaded tv.
Have a nice evening

Hi Everyone
Well, first day of school holidays proper up here and everything kicking off! Huge disruption at our airports - so scary that doctors seem to be prime suspects. Had humungous rain locally today and I had to go through not just puddles but real flooding coming home - decided to take a detour so I could be on higher ground. The downpours locally have been very strange. We have had many, people just a few miles away only two sharp 5 minute downpours! The flooding outside my office this afternoon gave my colleague and I a real fright. We were both top of hubcaps going out and the street drain wasn't coping and it was all bubbling out from the pavement drains!
DD reported more what she thinks are BH at lunchtime today but she sounds so tired and of course she is of the mindset that she is now overdue as both the two others boys came earlier than this. Hopefully things will happen soon for her and maybe the BH today not BH!!
Should hear from DS tonight as they came back from holiday yesterday. I know they want to book flights from Ireland to see new arrival but no point as I type!
Have just discovered why my eyes have been so dry and uncomfortable for the last week - I have a cyst developing!!
Take care you all.
All the usual greetings to you all and take care!

Meanmarie, any word about Luca?0

Well.... tea for our email pal went very well, she was a very nice lady and brought small presents for us both which was very knid of her.......we had a nice chat and a few laughs and took some photos as well.
Re my grouse with Tesco, the home delivery manager from our local store phoned OH whilst I was out......what the driver told me was a load of drivel (Lies) there has been no change in policy re deliveries and in the case of sheltered housing deliveries to all floors regardless. From what she said OH had the impression that the driver was going to get his a*** kicked, and we got the delivery charge refunded, Should we have any problems in the future we are to call the store and ask for the lady by name............RESULT!!!!!! I just hope we do not get the same driver again!!!!!!!
I am full, we had pizza, salad, strawberries and cream, coffee cake and scones.............bucks fizz................and a cuppa.........I have brought some stuff home with me for OH............It threw it down with rain as I was getting out of the car so had to leg it from the carpark to the door and still got soaked. It has stopped now.
Tomorrow I am going to attempt to put the unit up on the wall, fed up with it being sat behind the settee.
Wedesday we have a coffee morning in the complex and are off to see DD and grand children for supper in the afternoon. Will have to make a carrot cake for them, they haven't had one for ages. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Thanks Snowy for asking.....
The cheeky beggar arrived in at about 7pm, wouldn't eat or drink, snuggled up to DD4 and DGS2 as he hadn't seen them for three weeks, sat on my knee and slept for two hours. He stinks to high heaven, is very dirty...he is usually very dapper, but he looks as if he has been lying in coal dust somewhere. DD4 thinks that he is very thin, so probably he was coming for food but magpies and crows got to it before him. Its probably time he had a check-up with the vet, but I'm not great at taking animals there unless they are ill, so I am a bad 'mother'!
We were all soooo pleased to see him, I hope that he is all right, we'll see what a couple of days of TLC will do for him.
Will sleep well to-night!

Fantastic news MeanMarie, I am so glad Luca came back! Sounds like he just needs some good feeds and his normal bed and he'll be as right as rain.
Cats - don't you just love 'em!?!0
