    Morning all.

Have bashed my toe against the bath this morning and it is so painful. Looks pretty gross too. Starting to swell up and go a funny colour. So supermarket is going to be fun today!

Got to make some peanut butter and chocolate cookies for DSs cake stall at the sports day tomorrow.

Also - da da da - going to phone to start my new kitchen in motion! Woo hoo. I have waited soooooooooo long for this day. Gonna take before during and afer photos. Then I'll post them on the "Where the magic happens thread". It's going to be hell while it happens but it will be worth it. I feel like going to Harrogate (cos that's where the nearest showroom is) and seeing the kitchens there again and pretending that they're mine!

Well. Hope the rain stays off for all. Penelope - sorry about the tooth. I managed to break one while eating mango and yogurt last week? Really should go to the dentist.

Right - off to sort DS out for school, make my shopping list and then head to Durham and Waitrose with DD. Take care.

    morning OSers

stef - That is dreadfull about your dgs.. who does she think she is!!!!! I can understand why you didnt cause a scene though. Dont be too hard on yourself about it. If you had kicked up a stink about it then it could have turned into a nightmare...you saved your dgs from seeing full grown people row...and that aint pretty for a 2yo.
hugs to everyone else if you need one

Its very overcast here at the mo....as usual...I have got a 2 hour cleaning job to do today sometime and also have to take my dog to the vets for his booster jabs. Might end up doing the vets tomorrow when ive got a day off.

I am avoiding the ironing like the plague...dont know why i just dont get on and do it. Think its cause the pile is soooo massive:eek: Made a start on it yesterday but only did 5 items and gave up! am gonna try and do a bit more today while dallas is on:D

I play darts on monday nights.. im the captain which is a real pain as i have to organise everything. It is a real rush on a mon eve. I work from 5-7pm. We meet at 8 o clock in the pub and tonight we are away. The team we are playing is miles away at least 40 mins drive. I always drive as my ds15 also plays. The landlord used to drive us all but he drinks and drives and just doesn't give a s**t! So i have been driving for the last 12 months as i want to be alive. He is such an idiot and TBH a total embarrasment. He really shows us up..esp on a home game. I seem to clash with him a lot.. because i tell him what i think!!! I tell him he is a complete prat for drinking and driving but he just doesn't care. He drives himself now and the rest of the team come with me.. their choice. Its a shame we rely on the landlord to play cause he doesnt want to and makes that quite clear. Its so hard to get players... you need a real passion for darts to want to go out every monday night!!!!!! and spend wonga.
We get food at darts but its very hit and miss. Sometimes the food is lovely (esp if it is a food serving pub) but if it is a pub with without a kitchen then it can be well dodgy. We will be having a quick snacky thing as cant wait till 10.30pm to eat.
    ok rant about darts over.

Im off to do the daily feeding animals routine and clearing up. I really need to mow the lawns...had to get a new mower out the catalogue as the other one conked out and have only used it once. Its just started to rain....great ...no mowing today then.

have a good day and i hope the sun shines fior you

Hi all! Another disorganised start for me this morning; the job DH is doing at the moment means a later start than usual because it's in a care home and he can't disrupt their breakfast so he leaves here at about 8.15 in the morning. It's much better when he leaves earlier. Leaving later means he has a leisurely breakfast which means that I do, too! I thought today was going to be quite easy but, looking at my to-do list, I have quite a lot to get through. DH did some of the ironing yesterday, for which I am grateful but - oh, so slow!

ROSE - I know exactly how you feel! Why do they think you're brain-dead just because you haven't got b**ls! I remember years ago, when we were looking for a car, the chap on the forecourt looked at me and said 'that's the choke - it's not for hanging your handbag on!' B****y cheek!

Anyway, I'll have to change the subject because I'll remember lots of other occasions like that and it will make me grumpy!

I have the SC on with some lovely stock bones I bought at the butcher's - 13p for loads! - so I'm doing those with some left-over veg from yesterday's roast and some onions. We have gammon for dinner - actually, it's bacon misshapes - also from the local butcher - which turned out to be lovely thick pieces of gammon - so I'll do those with potato wedges, egg and fresh pineapple. Pudding will be the rest of yesterdays crumble with yoghurt.

WM is on but only one load today; hopefully it'll stay dry so I can hang it out. I need to do a quick swish and swipe downstairs, get some paperwork sorted, pop out to the bank and then make a determined effort to write to a friend who probably thinks I'm dead because I should have written to her months ago!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Thanks PP for the link to Twink's hobnobs - I have all the ingredients in, so I have no excuse not to make them!

See you all later. (((hugs))) to all those who aren't feeling well or who have dental probs.

morning all hope you are all well
DD2 is doing her induction week at seniors she is quite worried as apart from her brother and sister she knows no one as none are going from her school and the teachers say that this year group is a very high ratio of boys to girls 19 boys in her class and 9 girls:eek:
Jockett i know what you mean about sales men we went to look at a car the other week and saw a different model in the showroom and asked about it he said it was very dear as it had leather upholstery and was probably too dear for us then started to talk to OH about spec etc so i piped up do you take switch cos i could buy that outright and still have change in my account! we then left I know what you mean about the DR but it is fun isnt it!
hugs to all those with moody kids DD1 is very angry at the moment and seems to be continually sulking when asked what the problem is told no problem:confused: had to have a chat with DS about s*x as the girls keep moaning he is flirting with their friends and they dont like it and i think his testoterone is kiking in so i am off to Holland & Barrett for some bromide for the Hob Nob recipe do you ythink it will be ok instead of Ginger?:rotfl:
Hugs to all who need them

Hi Tiredmum, your post yesterday made me laugh - I have a DS who is 12 later this year and I have obviously got all this still to come!! I love the bit about DH not being able to remember being 12, so you would be better at doing the talk.......what a cop out!!!

    Morning all!

Not been on for a little while as been busy! Not done much, but still been busy... it's the small things that take the time and don't make much difference it seems! Ah well.

This week I've got a fair few things to do~2 confirmed tuitions (1 pending), working at the weekend and lots of chores, tidying, cleaning etc. I need to get this place looking good so that when I start my new job in September there won't be too much to do on the place-housework and diy wise! We were hoping on a summer sale, but it'll have to wait til October now as we can't afford new carpets (and refuse to put them on the cards-well OH refuses anyway! He *is* getting into this money saving malarkey!!), so will have to wait til my first full time paypacket comes in.

Sending hugs to those who need them, esp Stef (what a nasty woman!!) and PenPin, and anyone else as per usual!

Hope you have a good day, I'm off for a cuppa now!

    Morning all!

Off to work again soon, its my long weekend to work and I've also got to go in tomorrow to go and visit the lady who will be our new service user in her current home to learn about her routines etc before she moves in to her new home.

Thanks PenPen for Twink's recipe, will make some for my lot as soon as I get time!

Jockett- I tries the SW scanbran carrot cake and have to say it upset my tummy - too high fibre for me I think, tasted reasonable but definitely NOT the same as'real' carrot cake:rolleyes: think I'll stick to my 'free' yoghurts for pud from now on! - BTW the sticky toffee one was nicer IMHO;)

DS1 still waiting to hear about 2 jobs so is currently lounging on the sofa(only out of bed because he did a sleepover at a mates:rolleyes: )

Stopped raining here so hopefully it'll dry up enough for DS1 to mow the lawns - got to earn his keep somehow!

    have a nice day all

    Take care xxx

Going to the surgery to have stitches removed. Have to wait till next Tuesday for the biopsy results. It's like standing on the edge of a cliff sometimes so thank God for MSE, there is always something happening now I can't go to work.
TODAY I WILL sort out the cupboard ready for the heavy shopping from Tesco (tomorrow). Start on my HBH pinny. Look for try-me-free Aqua Fresh toothpaste.
    I WILL NOT look down!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
