OS DAILY Monday 2nd July

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 2nd july. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Hi:j
Early morning for me again, dont know why i am up though, feel shattered!
Today is a new start for me today, going to stop eating crap and get back on track and exercise more:D so going to get out and get more walks, only 3 months til hols so need to get going and find some motivation!
Os wise, today i am going to make more hobnobs, mum took some over yesterday with ginger in them, they were yummy:j
Shopping day today, going to be quite bad today as not much money for shopping, so just off to check whats in account and work from there, going to be a fun day i think:rotfl:

Hello Kyle & everybody,
Unless ginger has some miracle dieting qualities Kyle I don't think hobnobs will get you back on track.
I've had a house day here. Vacuming & made a start on the windows, screens etc. They look so much better. Used my Stardrops & microfibre cloths of course that I tucked away in my suitcase on my trip home.
Well off to make some smoko (afternoon tea) and will pop back after tea when you lot have all woken up
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Good morning everyone. I've been up since before 3 again. Darned insomnia is going to drive me totally crackers! I've been doing a storecupboard challenge this week and I'm running very low. Last week I managed to buy just milk, cheddar, fruit, veg and eggs, but I can't be doing with having no oats in the house. I can't make oat cakes, cereal or porridge. I used up the last of them for twink's hobnobs. Boy were they worth it though! Only got a drop of milk which is for the toddler, no eggs or stock cubes and only fresh stuff is a banana, orange, 2 small potatoes, a courgette, some tomatoes and some roast squash. (Actually, that suddenly sounds like a lot!) So:
Breakfast: toast
Lunch: pasta with roast tomato and courgette
Dinner: potato and pea curry
If I put lentils in the curry and have raisins for a snack I can still make my 5 a day! (And DS can have the fruit.)
I'll wait till I've been shopping tomorrow and make soup out of the squash.
Wishing you all a healthy, happy week.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Busy day for me today, have 3 LOs here so that should keep me on my toes!!!
We will also be doing some baking (2 will help, baby will play with pasta, bowls and a wooden spoon!) they enjoy that, and will help re stock my biscuit/cake box. Really need to do some cleaning (had a really lazy day yesterday) but not sure if i will have chance with the LOs being around - bathroom and toilet will be done, fingers crossed i get some of the kitchen done as well.
Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning all
For those who missed it yesterday, my new lodger's arrived & announced she's vegetarian, so I spent a couple of hours loking through my cook books for inspiration. I'll have to go shopping again as well as I wasn't expecting it.
Hope everyone has a great day

Don't take any nonsense, Rose :T
Kyle, I tried the hobnobs with ginger (mix of powder and crystallised) and they are yummy. Pity that it doesn't have powers to reduce the calorie content
Remember that tooth that I had patched a couple of weeks ago, well the patch fell out over the weekend (and I think I just swallowed it    ) so need to phone the dentist first thing.
Hope to get out into the garden, and go running, but it's not looking too promising.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Well, not raining here - yet ...
Work ktoday, so think I will make some tortilla wraps for lunch, and then salmon and parsley sauce for dinner.
Jocket, I know what you mean - DH and I went to buy a car (for me), and the salesman spent ages explaining all the technical stuff to DH, then explained to me what a nice colour it was
Good luck to anyone planning to go to an airport soon, take a good book
Hope everyone has a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever
