Hi all! Just popping in while my kitchen floor dries! Have whizzed the hoover through, been out to the shops - lovely experience that was! A very rough-looking girl, who still looked drunk from last night, screaming into her mobile phone at the top of her voice about her '****ing BF'. It was dreadful - so many children and elderly people about; if I was bigger, I'd have had a go at her but, these days, you daren't. I really feel for people having to listen to that. I'd have been even angrier if I'd had the grandchildren with me. If we still had policemen on the beat - policemen with real powers, I mean - I'm sure this sort of thing wouldn't happen.
Anyway, rant over! I popped into one of the charity shops and picked up a brand new garden trowel and fork which will come in handy for DS2 and his GF - I'm going round there on Thursday evening for dinner and, in return, they want me to have a good look at their garden and come up with some ideas! They moved in just before Christmas and have only been mowing the lawn - now they want a real garden. I'm really looking forward to it. It's not a huge garden, mainly lawn with some straight borders and a straight path - it would look lovely with some curves in it. They have an area for dining just outside the french doors and a decked area at the far end with the garage wall as a back drop so plenty of scope for some ideas. I know they'll need a lot more than a trowel and fork but it's a start!
I now have to go hunting on the internet for some tyres for DH's car - I managed to find the ones already on the car - he wants the same type - but they appear to be made in Australia - do you think AUSSIEGIRL would just 'pop' over with them? If she fits them as well, I'll make her a cup of tea! Shouldn't take her long, flight here, flight back, half an hour to fit......!!
Well, my floor is dry now, I'm starvin'marvin so I'm going to have my lunch - ham and wholegrain mustard sandwiches and some of the malt loaf I made on Saturday - if there's any left; DGS took some home with him! Ironing board is UP and just standing there looking expectant! Still haven't done the paperwork so it looks like a busy afternoon! Hope you all have a good one. See you later.

Jockett- I tries the SW scanbran carrot cake and have to say it upset my tummy - too high fibre for me I think, tasted reasonable but definitely NOT the same as'real' carrot cake:rolleyes: think I'll stick to my 'free' yoghurts for pud from now on! - BTW the sticky toffee one was nicer IMHO;)
Thanks yes i think i would be dissapointed with it compared to real carrot cake.. scan bran i just cant get my head round it lolThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Congrats on your win rcchdap!
I've had day off as dd's ill and have just bagged a free pontins holiday. If you haven't managed to get one and still want one use code PW07 or PW09 and the quotes stated and phone the no. in post 1 of the freebies thread and you may be able to book camber sands 23rd July - maybe we could arrange a mini meet if anyone else is going? Good luck if you are trying!
I will have to go and sort out dinner, its going to be cod fillets and home made healthy chips (sprayed with fry light!) I think, that sounds yummy!
Have a good day all,

Bargain babe your chips sound nice how do you do them?#440 sealed pot challenge0

They are so easy, I just chop up potatoes (leaving skin on - washed of course LOL) and parboil them then lay out on a baking tray (I have a teflon sheet - so they don't stick) and then spray a good few squirts of fry light on them and bake for a good while (about 180 degrees). They take a while but are yummy, when turning you can spray more of the fry light - still a lot less fat than fried chips! Hope they work out for you!If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0
