hi fish face, what beautiful words
I had a cat called Tootsie 'Paws' he's been in heaven for 3 1/2 long years and i miss him still. I have two girlies now Twix who's currently sat on my lap reading what i'm typing and Crunchie who's shy but loves to have her tummy tickled, but on her terms. I know it sounds trite but it does get easier but you will always miss her.
i'll take a photo of my tootsie page soon and post it here if that's ok
  • Yes that would be lovely LT! Dody cat (maceys daughter) always helps me with typing etc & can usually be found at my left shoulder, as she is now! Poppy comes occasionally - usually when she wants food & manu (avatar) is just a floosie so in & ut all the time - either tarting here or in the local community! Just wish she could earn money at it!! None f them (now) like having their tummy tickled & Poppy will actually growl at you if you try it!! Its quite funny actually!

Twix is high maintenance and wants attention 24/ 7 so visits the flat upstairs when i'm at work, she pretends she wants her tummy tickled but is just getting ready to pounce.Which is strange as she's my Buhdist cat, she wont' kill anything and brings home worms, rubber bands and leaves. Crunchie is the only cat i know who will lay there as longs as you are prepared to give her the attention. But in her other persona she's a bit of a serial killer but has been on probation for the past year with only the very odd lapse.
  • well one good nights sleep later...just booked a hair cut and arranged for the valuation to be done on the flat on MOnday & am on the phone to One Account trying to sort out a years onfirmation that payments are UTD - what a faff!! Woman currently insisting that they request it in writing so have asked to speak to a manager! Flippin red tape - its my account for goodness sake! Ahh sucess...£10 fee but there we go at least it will be done! Rest of the day will be spent tidying and sorting plus may have a charity shop rummage & a dig later! I need to get my sisters card & some wrapping so some money will be spent ut will try & keep it low...

  • Well what a few days! The DFW "hiatus" proved how integral to my everyday life this site has become! Sad but true! It was my sisters birthday weekend this w/e which cost £130 all in so will have to tighten the budget to accomodate this. Good news is that someone rang me about another babysitting job today and sounds like a regularish gig! I also sold my sewing machine for a very reasonable £50 - not the same person who rang before and I'm pleased really as I didnt really want to sell it to her after the hassle and it now goes to a good home!
Taking Martins permission I donated myself a nice midweek bottle of wine ( a real treat so thanks Martin the Marvelous!!) and am now sufficiently chilled. House valued today & £5000 less than last time which isnst great and I've asked them to discuss but it doesent affect the mortgage offer so thats good but loosing £5000, even if just on paper, not good is it eh! I wont be selling for 5 years & hope that things have picked up by then!
Scrpping friends I have done the cver for my CJ & wonder whether any of you managed anything with "the break!!" Mine is on things you've learned so far! Get your thinking caps on! How are people doing in preparaton? I will try & get a shedule togeather this w/e and think a 3 week cycyle (ie 3 weeks to do an entry) would be good. What do others think? Anyway, let me know!! Off to chil I go! Hugs all & its SO good to be back with you all!! Even if virtually!

  • hi fishy... just to let you know that i am up for the cj would love to do something along those lines, let me know pap :A
  • Hi all, always good to be back! Can people who want to do the CJ PM me their email addy and we can discuss further!
Not a fantabulous DFW day...got enough strawberries to make lots of jam and one in exchange for v. exspensive Christmas pressies s money well spent (friend makes glass and will make for same as cost which saves me loads & makes them extra special pressies & in exchange for strawb jam cantbe bad..unless the jam is gross!!). Got more wine but hey ...a whole day stuck in an office with policies & proceedueres surely deserves a bargain bottle of red!! Sold sewing machine so £40 in savings which will go for emergency fund or CC dependng on how desperate the roof is! Mortgage going through OK so just waiting for formal offer & that will knock £50 off (to go to cc of course!!) a month...fingers crossed! Woke at 5a so am off to bed. Hugs all!

  • Thanks for the emai pap! Will do a round robin when the others respond. Sea & lemon tree do you still want to do the CJ? Ideally we would have 6 people so if anyone knows two other DFW's who would be interested...
Anyway, another day at work and or some reason it went quite slowly! Tonight is the first book group so am trying not to talk myself out of it! I WILL go! Doesent start till 8! No real news this end...couple of surveys to do so just off to have a bash!
