Hi there FF! I hope you have had a good weekend. did you get a plant sorted for Macey?

Sad about the double persona guy - obviously doesn't have a life.

  • hi all, Doing ok. Macey is still in the boot of my car! Havent got a plant yet but "forgot" to bring her in! Chatted to her on the way to work! Had a busy night last night making jam, then remaking it cos it didnt set & now its like very thick jelly!! Made two cakes for work - 1 celebration chocolate (see old style board...its seriously lush!) and 1 banana (a bit dry!) ...what can I say, my own worst critic! I did think yesterday how much more relaxed I am generally. I had a dig, chat & tea at the allotment and am now the official loo cleaner which comes with a £50 annual fee which I'll have in goods from the shed (ie compost etc) which is good! House is relatively tidy but I'll be working at home for the next two days so will have nice time with puss cats. Didnt go running today - not in the mood and poor cats terrified with all the fireworks. Not done any scrapping as no time with all the other bits. All in all just ticking on really! Made delicious mince, mash & carrots & a spare batch for the freezer! Also invited friends for supper on Sat night. Oh yes had a run in with woman from pet plan who, despite being told I had just had macey out down said that there was no macey on the policy...Very upsetting and ended up eventually being put through to a manager (she refused initially, about 3 times - the advantage of calls being recorded) who then didnt phone me back. Her attitude really was appaling and she couldnt have been more unhelpful & unsympathetic if she tried. Will let you know the outcome...

What an up and down day - cake, jam, loo cleaning, and then problems with insurance!! I hope you get the petplan thing sorted soon.

    Hi ff

I've "lost" your diary over the past couple of days - as hypno has written, what a very up and down few days - the petplan thing sounds horrible, are you going to make a complaint as well as pursue the claim? Lots of hugs.

  • hi there,
well now officially working from home & must get on!! Thanks for all comments..easy to loose diaries karma (do you have one?!!) as so many on here - I sometimes feel overwhelmed trying to keep up & feel bad when I dont post on my regulars but hope pepys understand! The petplan saga started because they debited money & I was told I had a few free months & first payment in Jan but they too one this month...I cant claim for Macey because she was ill within the first 14 days so always knew that wasnt covered. Lesson learned (most painful one ever) & I wont ever cancel it again no matter how skint I feel but i need to move on from that. Whats done is done. Anyway, am waiting for manager to ring me back with his comments/thoughts. Not impressed that he hasnt yet & seriously considering making a written complaint. I'll give him until close of business today & if nowt will do a letter tonight.
Last batch of jam in the bin as it really was solid! It does take practice & ts the first batch that has ended up in the bin! Todays task is work (am fine when I get going but its getting going I struggle with - never been a morning person!), get mortgage stuff sent off and replace jam with new jam this eve...ok on I go! Ovaries hurting which doesent help & fan is on...bad girl I am!!
