Just got my own back on OH. He forgot to buy milk and stamps yesterday and forgot to polish DS3 shoes. Today he forgot to video a program for me and DS2 so I forgot to cook tea - he has only just realised.

In our house there's one of each and daughter 8 year old is far worse than son who will be 15 in 10 days. He is angellic in comparison. Much as I love them both dear daughter is HARD work - eg yesterday it was 20 past 9 before I could get her to school. She lay on the floor having a tantrum/screaming fit because she couldnt get her own way, and last week sat with her friends at school and scrubbed her shoes on the concrete until she made a hole in them - her friends had new fashionable ones she had start rite. Now she has fashionable ones and 2 blisters on her heels, obviously wants to learn the hard way. Only time I had a call from sons teacher was when he'd left his camcorder at school and teacher started to watch it thinking it was a school one. She was a bit upset because of the content which was a mock up of a TV chat show done by sock puppets. It was actually very clever but berated every race, religeon, creed and colour you could think of and he was only the cameraman. His report has been good and his work experience supervisor wanted to lock him iun a cupboard at the end of the first week as he was so good (and working in a nursery school!!!).
He will aslo tidy his room and she refuses to, have previously got to the point where all her toys were confiscated and she was allowed to have only 10, but it makes no difference as she doesnt even care. Oh dear sounds bad doesnt it, but she can be good sometimes as he can be bad.

Hi everyone, another busy day on here. Well done Pigpen on the debt reduction :)

Hugs to those that need them. HAHWMB sounds like you have some great things lined up for the fete, reckon it will be a great success and it will be down to your hard work.

Serena what about storing the mags in the loft and if they are not looked at in 3/6 months them recycle them.

Strawberries and cream were great this afternoon at work :) we have already decided to have trifle next Friday!

:rotfl: singing in my head too.

Dusty well done on the revenge :D I can imagine a little 'tension' in your house tonight.

Kaz sounds like you've got your hands full with your daughter, sounds similar to my neice in many ways. My Mam says my neice is pay back as my sister was a madam when she was little too.

Well he seems to have jumped out of his huff, I no longer ring him back being all nice like I used to. Also peed me off as he is on about finishing work early to be able to get up in the morning for it, but couldn't last night so he could go with me for DS1s visit, so I don't care! He's having a VERY quiet night at work, wonder if the smoking ban is effecting it.

Washing up done apart from the dish I cooked my dinner in, burnt it a bit so that is soaking. Done 2 loads of washing to go on line tomorrow if it's nice, if not will tumble what I can and airers for the rest. Might pop another load in before bed. Washing machine is scaring me as it's making a right racket when it's spinning, hope it's not on it's way out, vacuum cleaner smells funny too  bet they both give up during the school hols.
One day I might be more organised...........

I have posted this on Stormybay's thread as some of us have found it hard going at times but I think it could be helpful to some of us on here as well, I know it gelps me when things seem to be going against me.

    Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will.
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill.
When funds are low and the debts are high.
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns.
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about.
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

lil_me our washer made a horrible noise when it was on spin, sorry to say it was the bearing and ended up being cheaper to replace than repair :(

    Morning

Your challenge today is to find DS's passport, found mine, DD's and the paper part to my driving licence but can't find DS's passport and at 4 yrs old I don't think I should leave him home alone while we are on holiday

    Sounds familiar to me too!

ANW's mum - I was just thinking how smug I was that all our passports, E111 and paper licences were in the travel doc wallet that I've had for years on the side in the dining room then I remembered DS has been to France with the school and Andorra with his dad since we all went away - best I check where his is!

Well, its finish breakfast then quick trip up town to get a birthday present for friends daughter (birthday today so just not organised again) then back to resume cleaning before delivering present this afternoon.

    Have a good day everyone
