Been a busy day here in Mermaid's grotto (or should that be grotty?), but not much flying done. Been doing some work instead (pays the bills even if house if a bit of a bombsite).
Another story for those with hormonal boys, to prove that those of us with girls don't necessarily get it any easier:
I told DD (3) not to eat some food that a fly had been crawling on, 'cos it might have been on something nasty beforehand (think back to your food hygiene/biology lessons). I explained that one of the things that flies like to eat is poo, so she shouted "Oi, fly do you want to see my knickers, they've got poo in them!". All those talks about sharing weren't in vain then...
I think I'm going to collect all these little stories into a book to present her with at her 18th birthday party. Such a mean mummy!
Night all!
Having retrieved DS...
I am saving all that stuff up for his first girlfriend :rotfl:Always another chapter0 -
washing out.. children dumped at school.. hubby banished to work.. house in peace.. and I even got stinky sons duvet in the WM., oh.. and I yelled at the bank.. call ended with..
'ok.. whatever.. I have just filed court proceedings to claim back my bank charges and I had hoped to spak to someone with an ounce of intelligence, obviously that isn't possible at this shoddy establishment so I will add this to my claim.. thank you for your total lack of help..'
and slammed said phone down!
I have an available balance of £701 and they returned DD's of £190ish... you answers are as good as mine.. but apparently they were returned because of a pending £150 payment!!

Morning folks.
I've been up hours dealing with the PITA, and he is only just playing nicely enough to post. This mornings naughtiness was grabbing the toothpaste tube and squeezing it when i was trying to put some on his brush, and ending up with it on me, and i noticed he has got hold of a pen and drawn on my coffee table. Both my fault i suppose, but this is coming from nowhere. :rotfl:

Well I have at least dusted and checked the fire alarms. Just sitting down to a cuppa before getting really stuck in. It is my day off today so I am going to try and do today's and (what I think will be) Friday's list because it is DS's birthday on Friday so won't have the time then. Also got a party to prepare for so will enlist the help of DH when he comes in at 2pm this afternoon;) .
DH sent me out to my mum's last night saying I needed a break from the children (which was so true) and he would get on with clearing the store cupboard and make some space in the utility room ready for our new freezer at the weekend. When I came in he had done nothing but watch football news!! So that is now an extra job I will have to fit in unless he helps today!0 -

Not long got back from Asda - another hour spent there BUT this time it was me trying to work out if it was worth the hassel of making OH's birthday tea (by request of DD honestly
) from scratch or just buy a "meal for 2" bag and add a couple of bits - I went for a chinese banquet for two, a chinese starter for 2, some prawn crackers and crispy seaweed as there are 3 of us and we can all eat chinese until we burst :rotfl::rotfl: Also picked him up a stickytoffee pudding and carton of ready made custard (Asda brand so it was cheapish
) as thats his favourite pudding although I suspect that will be left until another night
I decided convience food for a change as DD will be able to make it with me as she was most disappointed that there wasn't going to be a birthday party :rotfl::rotfl:
Just having a coffee as I'm gasping and then I'm going to set to on the jobs. First one being sorting out the washing thats still on the maiden from yesterday - although I have NO IRONING :j:j Did it all last night while watching Cold Case & CSI:D Right, off to check hotmail before my coffee is done

So far not started the list but done a few things. Firstly, received bill for leccy from British Gas this morning, had been waiting for returned phone call about compensation but they never rang back. However bill shows it has been applied - it's compensation for the fact my compensation was paid late! Yes, they pay £20 for each missed appointment even if Onstream ring you to cancel on the day, but you kind of need to ask for it. They also give you compensation of £20 again if the compensation is more than ten days being given. They only apply it to your actual bill, but as I had 4 lots waiting to be applied this greatly reduced my bill. After all that, they'd estimated my elec meter reading by too much so I had to ring the meter reading line this morning and enter the correct one. Should save me a further £20! I've GOT to get away from British Gas - I can do this now FINALLY they have sorted out what they owe me. Knowing my luck, after all these price drops they'll be the cheapest supplier in the area once again!
I also rang the Police about an ebay fraud we were victim to back in January - the police last rang me in April to say we were one of 5 complaints made about the person that committed the fraud, and that they had a warrant to search the guy's property. They also said they'd ring me with monthly updates but never did. So I rang them and left a message on their answerphone to call me back when it was convenient. I'm hoping to get money back as my husband lost £82! I won't hold my breath though.
Grocery challenge has been going ok... but I only have £2.63 of my target £50 left for the week so hopefully all we'll need is another 4 pinter if anything. We certainly won't be getting a takeaway out of what's left! Lol.
OK enough waffling I am probably boring everyone, I'm off to strip the bed and stuff the sheet in with my towel load.
Happy flying everyone!IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
I was just wondering - how much time to people spend flying a day?? Just out of interest!
I spent about 2 hours last night - most of which was clearing clutter and a hotspot... So I'm hoping once I get the worst of it done it won't be much to maintain!!:money: I heart Martin! :money:0
