FOS can take months. In my experience, after receiving nothing off them for a couple of months, an email seemed to get the wheels moving.

FOS generally live in cloud cuckoo land over these sort of things so I would not hold your breath for a positive decision.

In my 5 or so experiences (2 more to follow soon), it depends which adjudicator you get.

Hi, my complaint with Barclaycard was upheld with regards to having AP markers on my file for many years, they have resolved this issue to my satisfaction and removing this info from my credit files. Thankyou Barclaycard.

MBNA however, got a response back yesterday and they are saying the AP markers are a true reflection of my account and will not be amending the date of my default. They say in the letter if not happy to complain to the Financial Ombudsman, I will do this now out of principle and only costs me a stamp.

Im sure representatives of certain companies read these boards so would like to

Thankyou MBNA for being an unreasonable bunch of halfwits where its obvious placing a default on a file of someone after years of AP markers puts me in a clear worse situation as to someone who made no attempt to pay. I will be taking this further which hopefully will cost you some time effort and money.

HI...can you tell me how you managed to get your barclaycard AP markers removed, who you wrote to at Barclaycard etc? I have 3 AP markers I want to get removed, but when I phoned Barclaycard to ask for them to be removed they refused

    thanks

Hi, I beleive they can register upto 6 months AP on your file as this is fair enough, the issue with most of us on here is where for example we entered DMP in 2007 and still now reporting AP which is where you certainly would have an arguement

    Thanks

An update re: Capital One; I raised a dispute via Equifax and they've replied saying that the information is correct and they aren't willing to amend the three credit files.

Should I complain to the Ombudsman?
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

You need to get a final response in writing from Capital one.

They almost always get rejected like this when you query with a CRA.
