i wonder if I could join in this thread? I'm having a bad week and just reading the posts in this thread has helped a lot. I've been arguing with my OH since he got back from seeing his brother last weekend, he's just so negative all the time it does my head in! And then he's blaming me for putting him in a bad mood..........

I can't seem to get anything done, then I'm blaming myself for not doing anything, my job sucks, and I'm spending a lot of my time in tears. But I don't want to go to the Dr and say I'm depressed because I can't think what I have to be depressed about. Anyone feel the same?

Anyway, I was going to go shopping today but the royal mail being on strike meant that my wages came a day late and they still haven't cleared

    sorry to be so negative

    welcome Poppy :)

Aw - are you keeping them for yourself or using them for gifts?

Well it's my last day this week so hopefully it will fly over :)

Poppy - It sounds like you need a break. Last time I felt like that I really didn't want to go to the docs but my supervisor at work made me as I was in tears at work all of the time and I just was not able to cope.
Anyway I didn't say I was depressed - I just said I was struggling with my emotions, crying constantly for nothing. My finace came in with me for support.
Doc asked things like had there been any recent bereavements etc etc and then decided it was probably 'unresolved childhood issues' and signed me off work for a fortnight.

    Hi Dawnylou,

I am keeping them all for myself :) as they are too nice to part company with :)

    :hello: Welcome poppy

I understand what you are saying hun :grouphug: hope you find the thread a great help.

After feeling great last week, it was a bit of a dissapointment to find myself up and down again this week. I know I expected too much too soon though, they did say it would take at least 4 weeks for the tablets to get in my system.

Whats everyone up to on the weekend? I'm hoping that hubby will fit our new sink and would like to go to the pictures and see evan almighty. Thought we might go for a walk on the seafront tonight too and get some chips.

    Wow,
Wouldn't it be amazing if they found her.

I'm in a very down place.
Fell out with g/f. Feel very disturbed and restless.
I think I'm going to log off. Staring at the screen isn't calming me.

If anyone knows anything about Ethel, can they let me know they are ok (her and family).

Hope you are feeling better SF xxx

    Hi
I am not depressed but my OH is. He has been suffering for about 7 years on and off now and has tried suicide twice. I am afraid we have great financial poblems and his gettin signed off for a week wont help. He has only been in his present job for 5 months so only gets £65.oo per week. He is having problems with his supervisor anf thinks leaving the job is the thing to do. I am afraid he drinks very heavily and cant seem to make the connection. I dont know what will happen so I am not having a good day. He takes Venflaxine and it does not seem to help but the doctor is not keen to give him anything else.
