Hi bmf!:hello:
How are you angel? Sorry it's taken me so long (yes, I'm still on page 34! ) but that's what happens when people leave stickys lying around all over the boards!:D
quote=BigMummaF;
Ok guys. There's a few of us who would rather be somewhere else, both literally & metaphorically, so what say you to a little mystery solving to lighten the mood;) ?..........
.......... ..... .....
.........
!
Some thingshave been bugging me:rolleyes:....where does a certain person:whistle:
find all those puss picks & little wobbly heads?
Why can't we share the secret stash of blue smarties if,in fact, that certain person has not already removed any evidence of there ever being blue smarties on this thread:cool: ?
Where does the Tiffster Tiff when not Tiffing us?And who Tiffs the Tiffster or is the Tiffster Tiff-proof?
Answers on a pin head to:-Mumma's Mansion,BM1 1MF/quote
lol bmf!:rotfl:
When Tiff's not Tiffing, there is a tiff who tiffs on other threads. It's really true! Twins separated at birth?
Now Tiff and tiff never get into tiffs or Tiffs.Tiff or tiff taunting or tormenting is taboo.
There are a lot of terribly trivial tasks to tend to. Tiff always returns home regularly to Tiff Towers in Tiff Town to tie up tifflets of things not yet finished. Smartie-testing is a tiresome time of day - but someone has to do it!:D But Tiff always tries to find Tiff-time to treat herself and take catnaps - and catnips too.
Sometimes, Tiff becomes a terribly ticked-off Tiff trying to tell anti-Tiffs to Tiff off!
Tiff is both Tiff and tiff-proof!
Try it at your peril!
Tiffy truly cares about all her Tifflings - she even tells them bedtime tabby tales - and is always a totally truthful Tiff. It's much better to be a tender Tiff than than a tyrant Tiff.;)
By the way, there is currently a temporary vacancy for a Mr.Tiff. :j
All this Tiff-testing?!
Oops, time to go - have to keep tabs on sazzy and miro - they're on Tiff-Watch for trying to tempt two new Tifflings into tasting blue smarties!A toast to you all then~ May you never be Tiffless!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
This post was either really funny or I need to see my care team!:rolleyes:I can't believe I just wrote this post!:D
And you guys read my advice?!
Sorry about the lack of posts guys - Tiffy has been a very busy Tiffster.:o
I hope you're well bmf and that your Tiff testing is now terminated.
Look what you've done to me now bmf - I can't stop Tiffing!
Take care hun.
Much Love,

Hi sandy!:hello:
I hope you're well hun.
quote=*sandymogs*;
Hi everyone :hello:hope you are all OK. Thanks Tiff for taking the time to find all those links for me :A and I will look into the possibility of respite.
You're more than welcome angel.;)
We don't have a social worker but we have a key worker attached to our local family support team, they provide services for families with disabled children. I must admit that I'm surprised there's no social worker or mental health care team supporting you. Either one of these would act as a central managing point for all services.
We have been offered support in various forms in the past, but haven't taken them up, as DS didn't want to stay with anybody else at the time. We are going to have to be cruel to be kind I think from now on though, as I need my sanity.
I really wanted to say something along these lines in my last post to you angel and I mean no disrespect at all. As DS gets older and bigger, he's going to be able to cause real physical harm or property damage. Throw in teenage hormones and you've got more problems sweetheart.:o
You have to consider what's going to be the safest option for DS and for the family hun. There is no shame in saying that you've coped until now but you need extra help. There may be other alternatives for you to consider hun. No-one wants to take these steps I know. You must be an incredibly strong person sandy, but everyone has limits and you need more support.:A
DS does get DLA and I may even think about going through the 'Direct Payments' scheme to obtain respite, that way I can employ the carer myself.
This is a good idea sandy. Does he get the highest rates in care and mobility hun?
I'm doing Jury Service in two weeks time and DH is off work for a fortnight, so he will look after the boys. As strange as it sound, I'm actually looking forward to doing it, as it's a chance to get away from all the stress at home lol.
Not strange at all - you must be ready for an escape route after all you deal with. It'll hopefully be a bit of recovery time and also will bring you into the 'outside' world - maybe even lead you towards study or work in certain areas. It's a real responsibility and I hope I don't sound as though I think jury duty is a day trip - it's not. But it could enrich you as an experience in itself.;)
It sounds to me sandy as though you really need to schedule time off and hopefully respite care or other options will allow that. If you take on too much, you'll break hunnie - and that's a no-no, ok?:A
Thanks again Tiff for the sound advice, it's much appreciated :A .
(((Hugs to all)))

Hi bmf hun!:hello:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I should tip you off that Tiff-taming is tempting but not tolerated. :rotfl::rolleyes:
Totally terrific bmf!:T
'Tis a truly titanic tract and a timely tribute to your tireless tenacity! Had Tiff in tears!:A
Time for Tiffy to go look out her t-hesaurus - groan!:o - all right, you can't blame a girl for trying!;)
I hope all is well with you and yours bmf hun? Remember to be kind to yourself too angel.
Right, I'm a plum tuckered-out Tiff, so must be [STRIKE]catnip[/STRIKE], ahem, catnap time.

LOVE ME, LOVE MY NEWFOUNDLAND.:A0 -
To ILGD, Gillette, Rose & all---forgive my frippery, but it is how I've managed my situations over the years. A classic case of "if I didn't laugh,,,,,,it would be a damned sight worse than cry."
I guess I knew there was something wrong in my marriage while I was pregnant with our third child, but decided it was the hormones. He finally walked out two days before No3's sixth birthday after taking an overdose or four-one time his ma found him at our home. Try as I might I will NEVER forgive him for putting the children in the possible position of seeing their dad spewing vomit over their lego because he wanted to poke some floosie. It's gone downhill since then really, with the selfish pig threatening twice to jump off the cliffs when he walked out of a psychiatric care unit when the girlfriend of the time moved someone else's husband. Because we are not actually divorced & he put me down as next of kin, I copped for all of that too.....just three months after my lovely dad passed.
I won't bore you with any more, but I have had to laugh--I couldn't afford to drink & don't know any pushers!
Peaceful Minds folks. BMFxFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

((((ilovegreatdanes)))) Men eh! Sorry you are having a bad time with yours. Would send you mine but he's the same at the moment. I'm spending a lot of time out with the dog, he can't infect me with his bad mood if I'm not there!
((((BMF)))) Big hugs to you too
Have had a good day so far, went down into the town, browsed the charity shop and saw the local history pageant down Union Street. That made me smile.
Hope everyone has had a reasonable day.
