Evening all....how has your day been so far?

Well, no.1 child is all moved back home--not quite settled but only to be expected after just 2 days. The weather has brought on a spurt of manic housework; can't decide if it's four months late for 2007 or 8 months early for 08 spring cleaning!:rotfl: Either way it's a very welcome change for me to just get on with doing something.

I've had an upset tum today, & was wondering where it started until I read the last page or two.....I reckon someone has made sweeties with that exlax chocolate to stop us dipping into the smartie jar:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

To those of us who feel the current situation is pressing all the self-destruct buttons I urge you to spend a little quiet time & read through some of the older posts. Someone at sometime has been through very similar to what we are facing, & come out the other end. They are the little chink of light at the end of a very dark tunnel; take their experiences as some comfort that you truely are not alone, & we are still here with our little torches to help lighten your path.

    Hi BMF,

Sorry to hear you have had a bad tummy as well, whats with all these smarties?,we must ban them for a while I think ;) It will probably take your no1 child a while to adapt living at home again but I am sure they will settle in again soon and I expect you are glad for the company too :)

    Hi Dawnylou,

Only yesterday I was telling my mum why do we have to put on a brave face and smile and hide what we really feel inside?,I do this too but once I am in my cosy flat its just me and I sit and brood and dwell on lots of things or I come on the internet and play games to soothe me so that when its bedtime I can have a nice sleep and wake up feeling refreshed and that my batteries are recharged for another new day :)

Nighty Night Tulip...have a good day tomorrow.

Dawnylou, I can identify with the feelings you've listed. I was in a right state when my No1 child moved out to house-share literally 10min walk from home, yet a colleague who lost their adult child to cancer had this tremendous religious faith that allowed them to be at some sort of peace.

It helped me to understand that we are individuals in all things, including how we react to given situations & the importance we put on wildly differing aspects of our lives. I am so content with my children still being around me but 'normal society' take the view that they are all of an age where I "should be grateful they are moving out".

I guess I'm trying to say....if it troubles you, it is important. You have a NEW home-that's a big event in anyone's life; we have a NEW pup too & boy, do we know it!!! It appears that you're handling lots of big 'new' things all at once so don't be so hard on yourself. And don't let others tell you differently.

Ok Tiffster....I give up....where DO you hide all those luvverly

I'm not sure it's quite cricket to keep it to yourself:naughty: From my investigations you are already the holder of the Smartie jar. I was going to be clever & find a pic of a match & Lords, but I'm still a baby at this posting & sticking malarkie!

Morning Tulip! Just wondering what you choose  to sing on your karioke nights? If I dared to do something like that the whole building would clear in 10 secs because folk would think a wounded wild animal was on the loose:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing as well as.......had a bit of bad news last night. A really good friend has had 10yrs of awful health issues & was hoping to start a family after having new treatment, but it won't be happening. To top it all, a sibling to them lost their Life Partner to cancer yesterday morning.

So yes....life is a 8itc4, but hey-someone has to live it. Catch ya L8R
