Thank you so much for your message. I think you are right about B, it is just a hard pill to swallow as I gave him so much unconditional support when he was going through a tough time. I suppose life isn't always fair! xxx

I have 3 friends the only time they bother with me is when something is wrong they dont bother with me any other time i dont go to them for support because i know i wont get it. sad really i know

one friend had a baby a year ago on wednesday im the baby's god mother i spent well over £200 on baby stuff before she was due. now a week before the baby's birthday my friend has been telling me that its her birthday and kept reminding me right up until the day before. It felt like she was reminding me to buy a present and to be honest my friend didnt even bother to say happy birthday on my 21st!! so i havent done anything is this wrong?

Hope you are all ok I am fine,went to my pottery course,was half an hour late because my bus couldnt get through a narrow lane because of 2 ambulances but we got there in the end I brought 3 pottery pieces home a jug,bowl and a huge bowl no more college now until after my hols cant wait to go on hols,got spending money out today,topped up mobile phone to get free texts,I shouldnt have really beause I had enough money in the mobile phone but mum understood I might want to text my brother and sister while there which I will do

Yesterday at work, I found a ring on the floor. So I handed it in and didn't think much about it - people lose lots of things. We even had someone today leave behind their debit card and car keys.

And then today I was at work again, and I was on the tills. An old lady came up to me and was soooooooo happy. And apparently it was her ring that she'd lost, and she'd been really distraught. She'd phoned all the shops she'd been in the day before to try and find it, and she'd now got it back.

So she spent about 5 minutes telling me how great I am and trying to give me money, which I couldn't accept. Then she went to tell the manager how great I am, and see if I could accept the money (her idea, not mine) and then she came back to talk to me again. In the end, she's made a donation to the charity box.

So a small thing made my day, made her day, and has also helped the Air Ambulance

Steph,
Thats how my friends were. When ever I needed someone to talk to or some kind of help they were never there for me. But whenever they needed something ,anything it was always me they came to. In the end I realised they were not true friends as a friend should be there good times and bad times. I would do anything for a friend. I am a softie or was and realised ppl just took the !!!! out of me and took advantage. So now Im more cautious. That way I wont get hurt nor used.

If your friend only contacts you when its birthdays or xmas then that certainly isnt a friend. Maybe you should bring it up by saying,, havent heard from you in so long, is something wrong, has something happened and that way you know you have tried and asked and no one can make you feel bad or guilty.x
