OMG, you are never going to guess what I've just done.
I registered with the open university
Congrats :-) I am a student with them although I've not done a course for a few months. Met a few friends on there, one introduced me to her cousin, 2 years later still with himWin £2008 in 2008 member's club number 302008: Iguana, 2 x Cadbury DVD, 3 x Book, Mascara, Chubby Brown DVD, Asterix Wii Game, 3 Beanie Hats, Bag, Armband,

Hello,
How are you? Im just catching up with the posts. Im not sure what the problem is at the moment, just very sleepy and agressive and low. Seeing CPN tuesday also meant to see someone about getting me ready to go back to work but I dont feel up to it. Im signed off for a reason, I have social problems and cant deal with people for goodness sake! There is a reason I cant work, why cant they p*** off. Just a little stressy sorry.

OU are great, and are very helpful with funding for people with low income. I dont think I paid for any of my courses and was also entitled to grants for computers and course materials. Best thing I did and highly recommend it.
They also have short courses so you can get a taster of things.

I did this course _pale_ Completed it, was a bit slow and boring for me. I prefered the A103 humanities course, has music, literature, religion etc. Was going to go on to do a course on literature, but wasnt really feeling too good at time and deadlines make me panic. Although my previous tutor was an angel and would meet up with me and my friend in the local town for a coffee and knew we both had problems and let us have extensions when needed.Win £2008 in 2008 member's club number 302008: Iguana, 2 x Cadbury DVD, 3 x Book, Mascara, Chubby Brown DVD, Asterix Wii Game, 3 Beanie Hats, Bag, Armband,

Hello Steph,
I still dont know what I want to be either. I will probably have to work from home what ever I do as I have a problem being around people etc.
Weekend has been weird, slept most of it, been very low. I think its to do with this work woman and I will be cancelling. Its causing me too much stress, and I still hadnt got back my strength etc from stressing over the psychiatrist meeting.
Like I said earlier, will be seeing my CPN Tuesday so will get her to cancel for me as I feel bad saying no to people. Also got dentist on Thursday! Lived in Wales and couldnt get one, so 4 years without a dentist appointment, even though when I went last they said I needed wisdom teeth out. Now they have grown out sideways :-( Not looking forward to it, but its got to be done :-)
Hows your weekend been? Done anything fun? Went to see Juno in cinema last week for free, that was cool.

Hello,
I've been in bed all weekend near enough. Bit fed up with myself as I ahd organised to do some nice stuff but just couldn't get my self going. Fed a bit better this evening though apart from body clock messed up!
I hate the dentist but I had terrible pain and had to go recently and had the best, nicest dentist in the world. he was so nice he made me cry a bit!! If you don't like the one you are allocated you can ask for someone else. Good luck with this week.
xGreen and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!0 -

Hi Lexa,
Ty for dentist tip. I woke at 1pm today was up for about an hour then slept until 7pm. Starting to feel sleepy again. Just feel so drained, emotionally and physically.
What did you have planned? Anything important?

Hi guys!:hello:
How's everyone doing? Greetings on this Moanday morning to all.
And a sincereto scaredandsad,(sas) and truthseeker(truth) and a welcome back to littlemissmoney(missy)!
I hope you'll find some comfort and helpful resources here guys - the peeps here are real angels.
Before long, you'll find yourself helping others - this thread's magical for that.
I don't know about you guys, but I...
Huge Tiffy hugs to anyone with WORK (heh-heh sazzy!) today or assessments, treatment, counselling, meetings, appointments, to all our peeps who are poorly - ethel, bmf, meyore - or anyone who is worried about someone they love who's ill - bmf, juno - anyone who's struggling atm - oh, all right - and gario too!
Anyway guys - one day at a time, whatever your situation is. We've got a brand new week to mess up so don't feel like you have to fit it all in today!Thinking of you all - and it serves you right too!
Be kind to yourself peeps and safe journeys.
Much Love,
Tiff xxx"If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought." ~ by Peace Pilgrim.***'You just got Tiffed!'***0 -
emma!
You're very welcome here hunnie - thanks for posting. Lots of like-minded souls on this thread and I'm sure you've already received a warm welcome from the wonderful peeps here, emma!
Your post proves exactly what a fantastic little community MSE forums are, people helping each other out or pointing peeps in the right direction.
I'm sorry you've had such a hard time angel. You should feel really proud of having taken that first step and seeing your dr. As you say hunnie, now you'r trying to fix things. If nothing else, you'll find a stampede of people here, myself included, who can relate to what you're saying, sweetie.
Talking is good angel - and you'll always find someone passing through here or that someone will get back to you.
I know you must be feeling despair right now angel, but you've got a long life ahead of you and depression can be managed very successfully. Try not to isolate yourself too much hun and keep in touch with your gp regularly. Try and take care of as many basics as you can -
1. get up
2. have a shower
3. get dressed
4. eat something.
And so on. It sounds very simple but these important things can be a struggle if we're really poorly.
No-one wants depression sweetheart, and one of these days, I'm sure that our politicians will have a 'eureka!' moment, (don't hold your breath though!), and see how very widespread depression and mental ill health is and how seriously it affects everyday life - workers, people needing counselling, etc. All of which many of us have known for years!
But most of all emma, be kind to yourself. Don't make too many demands of yourself right now. Take everything a step at a time, hun.I hope you'll soon feel at home here angel. Thinking of you.
Much Love,
Tiff xxx"If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought." ~ by Peace Pilgrim.***'You just got Tiffed!'***0
