I do feel happier when I feel closer to him, I know he gets tired and want 'his' time and that is fine. We all need to recharge, it is when you think he will be OK and not in this mode, I feel pushed away and we have been to marriage counselling and he shouted at me when I mentioned how I felt in front of the counsellor and does when I bring it up alone. It really hurts how he puts things and what he says. Sometimes I feel he wants around me part time and hates me being around at other times.
Sometimes he is responsive but can't predict when he will and when he won't, so find it hard to relax. I married to feel safe and be together as a team, not worry about being emotionally pushed away and feel unwanted.
Big hugs to you - I am sorry to hear you are self harmingAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

:hello: Dawnylou,
to be honest I dont know where my motivation stems from to do these jobs but my thought is once they are done they are out of the way for the day, even vaccumed today too
as well as ironing and cleaning floors in bathroom and kitchen
I do have a break in between like right now where I am sat at the pc typing and having a hot drink of pg tips
love and light,

Wish I could think more like that!
Instead I just sit here like a fat disgusting !!!!! in my pjs crying.
I don't deserve to be happy anyway, but others shouldn't have to suffer because of me.
I just wish I had the guts to just get away from this life.

I feel very frustrated about my teenage son - he is nearly 20 and sharing with a mate in a rather unsavoury place. He doesn't have any heat as the boy he shares with can't afford the heating and if my son keeps paying, he will be taken advantage of.
He has a room here but he hates the house rules - being careful not to disturb us when he comes in late and being generally OK to live with.
He has stopped uni, a few credits short of getting his degree, I presume they stay with him and he can complete later. He has a part time job and the hours are going right down, he can apply for a full time job but isn't doing much about it. He says he will get a well paid job and get his own place but not seeing any evidence of it, yet he won't come home either and get himself straight. The mate he is sharing with is thinking about joining the army but not sure if he will get in but if he does, then he will have to leave the place (it is his dad's place).
I could buy him a place and rent it to him but feel he won't pay the bills and let his mates doss around and generally mess it up. He has a newish car given to him by my mother for his 18th and its a mess, not crashed it but not taking great care of it, it's a mate carrier, so feel he will do the same with a home of his own.
How do I stop him getting into a stupid situation that will harm him forever? I suggested he got a full time job and completed his degree as a starter but he's not doing anything about it, he says he will but I see no action.
It makes me so angry, if I had been given a car and been bought a place at 19, I would have been sooo happy, yet my son is trashing what I would have killed to have got at his age. Without offending the males on this thread, it doesn't make me rate highly the male of the species, yet I read posts from guys his age and they are really together compared to him. Why is my son destroying his life?
Anyway, I have my work cut out knowing where to go next myself. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

I agree, I woke at 8, did a load of washing and general load of boring household sh*t and now I feel relieved it is out of the way so I can do something interesting and enjoyable. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

And they want to encourage us to use public transport:mad:

Tulip - that used to happen to be a lot when I had to get an evening train in the northeast. Never saw a conductor and the ticket booths were closed (no machines) I must have had about £100 of free travel over the year but what are you supposed to do!
DawnyLou - of course you deserve to be happy! We all deserve to be content and supported. And I'm betting those are still pretty sexy PJs aren't they?!
CCStar I kinow what you mean about wanting to make people realise what they have, like you son. I have friends with no panic attacks etc and they do little of anything with there lives. If I could just hop on a plane like they do I could possibly rule the world! Then they have the gaul to say they are jealous of me because of what i have achieved with my job and writing and I could scream - yes it's bloody hard work every day for me!!
Had one foster cat put to sleep this morning but don't feel too sad as I know it was the right thing to do for her. The other cat due for an op is home with more antibiotics as he still has too much of a cold to risk an anaesthetic with.
Matchsticks for my eyes please!0 -

Aw the poor kitties - at least she is out of her misery and sending healing energy to the other one.

hi everyone, hope your all well. feeling really tired and lacking motivation, think its a result of an increase in my medication.
just sat at home waiting for my son to ring at 3. his support worker in school rang me half hour ago, to say he'd been assaulted in school, and my lad had done absolutly nothing to provoke the attack. feel sick in my stomach worrying about him, wish i could go into school and give daniel a big hug, so worried about him.
big hugs to all
shaz xenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0
