morning everyone, got to go out and brave the shops today, not an easy task with 2 sons with severe behaviour probs, but it gotta be done, daniel has broke his bed and needs a new one asap. wouldnt mind so much but the one he has he only got in april, but was a cheap one, so guess the quality wasnt as good as it should have been
hope you feel better soon katie. have you looked elsewhere besides argos for a ds lite? i know some shops had them as bundles with games etc before xmas. i got both sons one for xmas, as well as one for myself, i love the brain training games.
    big hugs

well done katie, on getting a ds lite, mine is a pink one too, enjoy.
well i managed to find a bed that looks strong enough for ds, and they said they could deliver it tonight, great.
goes home, and tries removing the old one which is a divan base, and accidently knocked the light fitting at the top of the landing, and it snapped off, need an electrician now
had to attack old bed with a hammer as i am one my own and cant get it downstairs on my own, so smashed it up and carried it down in pieces lol
hope when his new one comes tonight it isnt too difficult to put together

sorry to hear your feeling worse steph, big hugs, and hope you feeling well again soon.
think i've just done something bit stupid. just rang my ex and asked him to fix light fitting and help me put up daniel's new bed when it comes tonight.
of course he siad yes, and told me he still loves me and will do anything for me, and i'm dreading seeing him now, cos he will be all over me, but then what? i do love him, but i do not want another year like last year, he says all the right things when he wants, but thats all it is when he comes to showing it hes never there, never helps with the kids, always has excuses, and when i try talking to him, he says i imagine it all, cos i'm depressed he calls me mental etc etc etc
begining to wish i hadnt contacted him, feel so confused

    :hello: Everyone,

Hope you are all ok,well I got my dslite today and its games :) wow really great graphics and I am well delighted with it,I have got some other games as well so got another 3 games, one of which is from game.co.uk so that will come when its ready and its called Disney friends which I got for £11.99 instead of £19.99 so its half price :) this can be found at Amazon.co.uk if you want to check it out for your boys shaz :)

the other games I brought from Asda are Disneys Enchanted and Disneys Little Mermaid :) so those will keep me going all the year round.I cant say I am bored anymore now as I have a lot to do between the dslite and the pc :rotfl:

Come on in hun - everyone is welcome here. I'm sure you probably got all the answers you needed but I usually end up throwing my 2 cents worth in anyway.redface.gifrolleyes.gifYour husband is a very lucky man to have someone who cares so much about him, when she's going through so much herself! action-smiley-033.gif
    Let's have a look here...

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to this thread but I had a question to ask.
I have had PND since our son was born 13 months ago, which is compounded by the fact i've been off medication since May due to becoming accidentially pregnant again. I'm now 32 weeks and find most days i'm struggling with my moods.
You may not feel it sweetheart, but you're obviously a born fighter!sLo_hug2.gif
The good side is that you haven't got many weeks to go now and you should be really proud of yourself for having coped so well, bay!yes.gif
I know you came here looking for sources of help for your lovely DH, but I hope you don't mind if I post a couple of links that may interest you. I'm sure you're already experienced with PND sweetie, but just in case it may help someone else too.wink.gif

I'm not a professional angel, so don't think I'm recommending anything. Use your common sense too guys - sometimes if we think too hard about something, we can scare ourselves right out of our furry slippers!wink.gif
Always discuss any options with your dr hun, before taking any actions.

My husband has also recently been diagnosed with depression and is on 10mg of citalopram. The cause of his is primarily feeling trapped in a job he hates, the dark of winter and not enough sleep.
I'm sorry to hear about your DH, angel. It sounds as if he's on a minimal doseage of the ad. This is done so that drs can monitor your progress and find the right dose that works for you as an individual. If it doesn't suit him for some reason, they may change it to another one. As he comes to manage with the ad, the dr will review the dose if necessary. As you'll know, ads can take a while to get into the system properly so patience is a virtue in these cases, hun. He should be monitored regularly by his dr atm and remember if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to visit/call the dr.wink.gif
It's important for him to be open with the dr as they are aware of many kinds of help out there for people. I hope he told the dr about work and his insomnia, angel. Again, I'm not a professional hun and I can't vouch for them, but here are some links regarding depression and also work, that may interest you and DH...

I've always felt as he hates and suffers in the winter so much he has a mild form of SAD. Someone suggested he get a light box to sit on his desk at work, but I don't know anything about what is a good one, reasonable price etc.
We can't afford too much as we've got another baby coming soon, but I really want to help my husband, who in turn can support me more if he feels better. I did a quick search through this thread but not too thoroughly as time is of an essance, as it always is with babies in the house. I have also googled light boxes and looked on ebay, but there are so many different styles, types, specs that we just don't know what is good and not, what you need and what is a gimmick.
Please can someone advise on their experiences?
    Many thanks,
    Bay

Again, your dr may be able to advise you on this. It's always a good idea to get advice/referrals from them because they are more savvy on this sort of thing, bay. They'll be able to sort the wheat from the chaff as it were. However, you may find this link helpful...

Good luck angel - I hope this was of some use to you. Please feel from to post any time, ok? Take care, hun.sLo_hug2.gif
