Katie,
My eyes are running all the time and look rather red. My dog has gone for his walk now, so he will be settled for a while ( bless him). I would have enjoyed christmas more if id been feeling better. all i managed to eat yesterday at my sisters was two roast tatties, bread sauce, cranberry sauce and carrot mashed with swede. I love christmas dinner, shame i didnt enjoy yesterdays.
The sun is trying very hard to push through the clouds.

:rudolf: Hello Peeps....all is quiet in the Mumma Mansion, apart from a certain 4-legged waggy tail who has the runs:eek: It's probably the mince pie he snaffled from a pal's house on criss-eve, among other things;)
My BIL has managed a couple of short journeys with the aid of a mobility scooter, but they left him very tired.Have to say that I've been offering up extra-special prayers of thanks, for the folk who continue to work while the rest of us get to slob out:o
AnyHoo----:xmassmilewas definately on the right track when he gave us a Tiff for Christmas all those years ago:p Makes you wonder why the dinosaurs left her alone tho:rotfl: :rotfl:
We've had plenty of rain & heavy frosts, but no sign of the white stuff. The last time it did snow, we put a snowball in the freezer & forgot about it till August :snow_laug
OK gang...better go find summat for dinner. To those travelling--whether physically or metaphorically--I wish you a Safe Journey. To those who are entertaining, I wish you Quiet Times. Thanks everybody but I feel if I go see the doc I will just end up blubbing and not be able to say much. I'm like that even if DH asks and so cannot tell him what is wrong. might help if I knew better what was wrong myself, I guess.
Really don't want to go off with stress as there is still a real stigma attached and feel work would never see me as really reliable again (couple of others have gone off due to this and there is a very unsympathetic approach-along line of 'what does HE/She have to be stressed about? Should try my job...')
Also feel I would then have to acknowledge it to any future employers as it may crop up in any reference, and that is suicide at interview stage.
Still feel I should not be as stressed as I am anyway.
May be hormonal and menopause starting to kick in so have been taking the old St Johns Wort.
Actually feel I would love to give up office work completely as never really set out to do it. just drifted into it about 20 years ago (!) and then, because that is what I have done, that is the kind of job I seemed to offered at later times. Trouble is I do not know what I would like to do in it's place. Would really love to have a job that gave me a real buzz to be doing it but have no other skills to speak of so would end up back at minimum wage and cannot really afford to do that.
Sorry to blether on so long. Seem to have a thousand things going on in head and just trying to sort them out a little.
Thanks for all the supportive comments

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this thread but I had a question to ask.
I have had PND since our son was born 13 months ago, which is compounded by the fact i've been off medication since May due to becoming accidentially pregnant again. I'm now 32 weeks and find most days i'm struggling with my moods.
My husband has also recently been diagnosed with depression and is on 10mg of citalopram. The cause of his is primarily feeling trapped in a job he hates, the dark of winter and not enough sleep. I've always felt as he hates and suffers in the winter so much he has a mild form of SAD. Someone suggested he get a light box to sit on his desk at work, but I don't know anything about what is a good one, reasonable price etc.
We can't afford too much as we've got another baby coming soon, but I really want to help my husband, who in turn can support me more if he feels better.
I did a quick search through this thread but not too thoroughly as time is of an essance, as it always is with babies in the house.
I have also googled light boxes and looked on ebay, but there are so many different styles, types, specs that we just don't know what is good and not, what you need and what is a gimmick.
Please can someone advise on their experiences?
Many thanks,

Hi Bailey..aint Life a joke sometimes? I fell pregnant early after my first was born & only had 15months between them & everyone asking if they were twins:D So first of all I suggest YOU get some help & support....I don't mean to be rude but hubby is big enough to find his own help....if you see what I mean.
I fully understand your thinking, but with just eight weeks until another baby arrives in the house, you need to gather your strength now.
Having said that, there was a thread a little while back on this Health forum...sorry I'm no good at posting links but I'll go look in a mo. I think there may be a charitable site that could give you some info on daylight light bulbs & SAD, & I daresay Tiff will be able to point you in the right direction once she's back from chasing the mice in the cellar:eek:
In the mean while, please feel free to post here any time you need to let off steam, or just for a chat......we're all at various stages of recovery & somebody will have first hand experience of what you will think is unique to you. There is absolutely nothing that we haven't seen, done, attempted, prevented & ultimately survived:o
So hope to see you here again, along with our other recent recruits KatyK, Antronella,.....Steph....... _pale_.......Ka..nooo..Aaa....:wall:....everyone else who posts!
I'm gunna go see if I can find that thread....
