thats the only drawback with having a birthday so near xmas.....gives everyone the excuse to "round up" the present. mines early jan so i always get it.
never mind ,its the thought that counts.

thanks everyone for the lovely birthday messages, it means so much to me seeing them all. had a lovely chinese buffet for lunch, then went for a walk round a local lake, rest of day been sat either watching tv with sons or on computer.its days like today that i miss having friends to visit and been able to socialise. hope next year a better one for all of us.
sons bought me some chocs and keep pestering for me to open them, wonder why ? lol

Well i went and seen the ex yesterday coz i needed to pick up my travel kettle, after talking for a while he kissed me and thats as far as it went i cant do anything with someone thats not sure if they love me or not. He said when i get back from egypt we will try again for sure. I left him with a christmas card and got home, my mum wanted to know what happened so i said we're having a break for a while and she said that if im with him that she wont lend me the money for my car if i havent got my payout in time
holding a gun to my head so we had a row and we've just not mentioned it today. He came online last night too and asked what i wanted for christmas and showed me this lovely radley bag http://www.johnlewis.com/Shopping/PhotoGallery.aspx?Type=SKU&ID=230435181&ThumbID=1
its £145 but ive only spent £50 on him because of whats happened what should i do? I know its not about the money but the thought, all i can think of is taking him out somewhere nice when i get back.

Hi Steph, why is your mum so against you ex? Is there something in it...or do you think she has no real cause to not like him? As for the present you've bought, i really wouldn't worry about spending more, especially under the circumstances x

Its because of the way he's treated me over the last few weeks that she really hates him. ive been told he's not allowed round so im stuck in the middle i love my family but i also love my ex

mum's dont like guys that have treated their daughters badly, just the way it is i'm afraid, my mum dosent like my ex for same reason

Hey everyone. :hello: Anyone else be glad when this year is over? Apart from losing my mum, my friend rang me today and her DH passed away with suspected heart attack. He was only 43. Everyone please live for the moment and don't take your loved ones forgranted. And I am thinking of everyone on here that has lost someone. Much love to you all. xxx
