Shaz, I will be glad when xmas is over too. have wrapped pressies for the kids but not seeing them till Boxing day...1st time without them. I'm sorry you are still hurting. Try and be strong, enjoy your time with the kids and remember that the words..."I love you"....are just words, it's a person's actions that let us 'feel' love and prove it to us.

fantastico - Boxing day is all about bubble and squeak to me.

I personally think we try to achieve too much on xmas day. Big meal, presents and tv. I wish the meal was on another day. Someone (mom or sister) always faff too much on the meal and miss out on playing with the kids. I would rather have a cheese sandwich and spend the time with the kids.

Rite folkes,
I have to wrap 3 prezzies, tidy up and then drive to brum.
I love xmas. I don't get to see my sister's kids much and I have invested all my paternal feelings into them. They are like my own to me.

I am talking to a friend on msn and I have just classed my year as a success. - I have slightly better health than a year ago.
- I am poorer but I have a new qualification.
- I have a promise of a job.
- I will be earning less than I used to as a software engineer but it's not far behind and the only way is up.
- I have a great nephew.
- and a lcd tv (I wanted a tv on the wall since I was a kid and read about it in sci-fi).
- I had a relationship (which I'm glad of) and later the strength to leave it.
- I've made a new friend xxx

As for you all.........
We all have problems (we wouldn't be here if not) but sometimes we have to step back and see our lives for what they are. We are not living in africa. We aren't starving. Most of us have someone who loves us (children or partner).
The world is a wonderful place. I know as much as anyone that all the above means nothing when we are down. But our problems are cyclic and we will enjoy life again.

Blue has lost people this year.
My dad never reached 60 so I try to live life like her advice anyway. Although saying that I am guilty of hiding from life too often. My resolution will be to get out of the house and enjoy the world more. Stop hiding from people because on the whole they don't bite. Having a job is forcing me to talk to people so it will help me emerge from my shell.

I send you all my love and luck for the new year. I have said it before - life can change in an instant (either way I know). So don't give up hope. Bless you all.

I have been dashing around this morning,went for a coffee with friends to a restaurant,went for a walk along seafront,went to see my church friends and had a drink with them,then I went shopping to co-op to get a few bits I needed in and then came home.I am home at my parents in an hour as my sister is coming to collect me in her car and then I will be there for most of the afternoon and then dad will take me home again afterwards
