Hi Katie :hello: And hi to everyone. Bless your heart Katie hun for thinking of me and sorry I've not felt able to post recently. You know how it is I'm sure, things have been getting on top of me a bit and my head's been all over the place... a bit hard going, tbh... and eating all the smarties didnt help either;) Work has also been a bit hideous, but I have more or less been told to take next week off, so that will be nice, can catch up on some sleep if nothing else... bit of a tired-out lil sazzy:o But I'll be ok:)
And I know tiffy's been on the look-out for me katie hun, she's been having a tough time recently - (big hugs to my tiffy friend) but she knows I'm always here for her... and the same goes for all of you, my dearest lovelies, too.
I want you to know that I read every post on here and and I send all of you all the love that I can. And since I have a few days off, I will try to post too...
Well, good night Katie hun - hope you get rid of that cold soon. I'd better crash too... sweet dreams everyone and I hope the coming week is kind to you all...
Much love,
Sazzyxxxxxxxxx4 May 20100 -
Hi guys!:hello:

Huge, moulting, soggy Tiffy hugs to anyone who's feeling unwell.:iloveyou:Tiffy services may be intermittent today as I have to kill my computer!:wall:Good to hear from some of the old timers- sazzy, karrie, rbk etc. - thanks for posting to let us know you are safe and sound.:T :j :A
You remember I said I had something big to deal with Friday? Well, it was a big deal for me.For the first time I manage to travel by car (trembling all the way:o ) with my support worker, to Stratford-upon-Avon College to see DS in a matinee show. I hadn't told him I was going just in case it was too much for me to get there and he'd end up disappointed. The show was part of one of their final exams and, even though I'm his mom, DS was fantastic! It was a selection of songs from musicals with the theme 'Nothing Like A Dame'. I couldn't believe how good he really was! He had the audience in stitches at some parts he had. And his singing and dancing were really good. When I was queuing up to get in, one of the women on the door said that they were going to seat the public first (lots of students there) & asked who I was there to see. When I said DS, she stood up and shook my hand and said that she was really proud of him and that after last week's events, (to be mentioned in The Tiff Chronicles ~ Part 24!), she was amazed by his performance. He'd given me the impression that she was like Arlene Phillips with PMS, but she was all smiles. She said he'd suddenly found his confidence as a performer and that he was absolutely stunning.:T One very proud Tiffster!:jThen I cried all the way home in the car- stress release I guess after going out of town for the first time (not counting the convalescence in June) and driving home in the dark & heavy traffic, going to a strange place, managing to beat the agoraphobia and see him perform for the first time on his National Diploma Performing Arts course at Stratford, (was too ill to go in his 1st year), pride in his performance and the director's comments, and because, excluding myself and my support worker and two elderly ladies, the entire audience was made up of about 95 students between 16 & 19!
Hormones all over the place I tell you - enough to make anyone cry!:D :rotfl:Then I spent the weekend recovering from the fallout of all the stress - shakey, tired Tiff! - and I'm still recovering tbh. But no-one else was going to see him, not even his father, and it was really hard but I'm so glad I went. However, even though he's the only child I have, I may still have to kill him tonight along with the computer.:D More on that another time.
Have a good day peeps - safe journies.:grouphug:

i am wondering how much longer i can keep this up. my daughter is completely off the rails and i just dont understand her or trust her. i am sorry to say she has let me down v badly with her behaviour lately, my hubby as a result has aged about ten years, we no longer speak to my mil either . throughout all this i have a sweetheart of 8 years and a lovely 16 yr old son who want me to my old self and i feel drained like i cant be a good mum to them at the moment. dont know how much more i can take . think im really getting to the end of my endurance:rotfl:"that grady! won't sit next to a black child in church! but eats eggs, shoot right out a chickens !!!!!!" from fried green tomatoes:rotfl::smileyheaMSE is where my friends live :smileyhea0

Hold on in there Small---us mums are mega strong when we have to be:o An eight year old is neither infant or responsible, & a bit like the beginnings of the teen-to-adult phase if memory serves:rolleyes: There's bound to be a lot of angst anyway but because we are not up to full strength, it is easy to blame our "poor" parenting skills rather than seeing it as the natural scheme of things.
YOU ARE NOT A BAD MUM!
The best childcare advice I've ever had actually came from my sister--it's the only thing other than peirced ears she's given me that's been useful:p . There will always be 'problems' with children, it's just different ones at different ages. HTHFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.
