Wrong! It means to take with the intention of permanently depriving the owner. You can't permanently deprive someone by making a digital copy. Thus, copyright infringement certainly isn't theft. No ifs or buts.

Yes it is - you are getting something (ie: music) without paying for it when the owner hasn't given you permission. That's theft

Making copies for use within your own household is fine...
