Well done everyone that has lost
Ajax, when my weight loss seems minimal I usually find I am still losing cm's round my middle and legs (especially when I wasn't MS and went to the gym) So I usually start to take some measurements to see how many cm's I've lost round each bit (eg belly, hips, thigh, top of arm) and I find this sometimes boosts me on more than the small weight loss.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Morning all :hello:
Just reporting in with a 1lb loss - only 1 to lose by next week to achieve the July target. Well done to all the losers and maintainers, and commiserations if you gained. There's some good advice for people who think they've plateaued, I might give the daily variation of calories a go and see what happens this week. I don't suppose it helps when I have an odd day of going over my target number and then keep to normal for the rest of the week!
I'll be back later with the chart -

i did it :j went for weigh in at docs yesterday and lost 3 kgs so now down to 111kgs doc said its about 7 pounds so have done the july challenge with a bit to spare. did feel bit slimmer around waist but was seriously dreading going after being in majorca for last 2 weeks. major problems passing the doughnut basket at breakfast and did enjoy the odd one or two vodka red bull, did give these up when found out they contained 11 teaspoons of sugar but was heard to get the low sugar ones on holiday. doctor is very pleased as i was going up rather than down for the last year and that was with the help of the orlistat tablets (when i remembered to take them) am sticking to my paul mckenna make you thin cds and they seem to work for me. did have a little binge on mini milky ways when i got home but have moved the bag downstairs now out of reach.would not have managed it if it were not for you lovely lot keeping me going with your daily support. am also thinking quite sensibley now about the 6 stone i need to lose. wanted to lose it in a couple of days and nothing else would do but now have realised that my skin would never shrink back at that speed and would hate all that flapping skin i have seen on diet programmes. had a tummy tuck years ago before they were so well known as after 5 pregnancies my stomach just hung. well next weigh in now due 23 august so am hoping for another five pounds. need to start organising meals a bit better too asstill bit cupboards bare after hols. keep up the good work everyoneand thanks for all your well wishes0

Hi everyone, hope your all well. I'm really struggling today. I just want to eat bad things. Really want some chocolate. Actually I want more chocolate cos I've already had some. I was quite bad at the weekend as well and I really don't want to blow it, because I really want to break into the next stone this week. Does anyboy else get days like this.
Hi Misty, I get days like this all the time, Sometimes I can be good and resist the temptation but I find it really hard and feel a but miserable.
I've started buying Curly Wurleys and milky ways so I can have a little treat without blowing my dietr - trouble is I don't always have enough in my points allowance for them and then I'm stuck:o

Morning all
Long day yesterday, all day meeting/demo took my own salad and yogurt in a little cooler bag, which always seems to gain a comment from someonesometimes good, sometimes bad. Went straight home (155 mile round trip) and into the gym.
Well done to all you losers, Tescodealqueen, mistrywoo, emptypockets, Lois and to you maintainers erlqueen Your all doing great. Top scoring from Homealone, great result there. Ajax Hope your keeping the ladies happy, enjoy the golf. TallGirl have a great holiday, Im out all day again tomorrow, so thought I should mention it now.
efrieze hitting the plateau affects and gets everyone at one point or the other. I have hit it at least twice, it just seems to be one of the those things, changing what you eat or the amounts can make a big difference. the body will just adjust to the amount your eating and if it thinks your not eating enough, then it will hold on to it, but if it sees your eating, in time it will let go, 1000 calories doesnt seem quite enough I have to argee with the others.
Retiredlady, I know it can be very hard work and at times it seems like headbutting a brick wall :wall: but look at what you have done, look at the clothes and the reduction in sizes, what for the first time someone says 'your looking well/good' then say with a big smile, 'Thank you I have lost 86lb or over 6 stone'Some people need reminding (as do yourself) as to all the hard work you have put in. Besides are you not the next biggest loser after me? We are the biggest losers
Keep smiling, you know your doing a get job, a bad patch does not a ruined summer make
:grouphug:
On that note, and no I am not rubbing it in. I have lost 3lb this week, which is good news for me and means I have now lost 10STONE :j I will with MrsSuggs permission continue to the holiday. So I will bask in my achievement for a little while then head to the gymThank you to all you guys for all your help. I truly mean it
sorry if I have missed anything or anyone, Ajax, not too sure what to suggest for MrsA, I would suggest the ladies are your best source of information and words in that matter, People either want to, would like to or dont want to, in my book. Maybe she is just a little tired at the moment and would like to step of the journey for a little while??
Have a good day all.Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

I can't keep up! I've only been away from the computer for a couple of days, and there's about a thousand posts to catch up on -how do any of you get anything done?!
Anyway, just a 1/2 lb lost this week, which is OK considering I've had v little exercise and went to a BarBQ ALL day on Sat. The food wasn't an issue (what's better than a bit of barbq'd fish and some salad?), no it was the er accompanying liquid refreshment which was my downfall. Come to think of it, that 1/2 lb may be just be where I'm still dehydrated...tut...Ssshh - I might know about deals in/near Keswick0 -
well done everyone!

Well done Lois :j and lubo :j ...
...homealone what a great result :T and that included those lovely holiday doughnuts, so just think what next month's loss will be but don't deny yourself of everything you like...
...Lois I thought that that advice about varying the daily total of calories was something to try too, as I usually stick quite rigidly to the same amount each day. I also like the one about having a cheat meal (although I don't like that description) a high calorie meal to see if it 'jolts the system', I've not had anything bad since the start of the year and it would be a real treat. So I think I'll give the latter a try and see how you get on with the former...
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

It's great to read success stories
gives me hope.
Haven't been weighed since last week, so don't know if I've managed to loose anything.
I'm wondering if I'm not eating enough and that's why I'm not loosing anything on the scales?
Anyway, boosted my exercise this week by going on a long walk. Granted didn't walk fast, but was walking for about 1hr 15 mins.
After saying all that, I'd rather be toned like xena warrior princess, than 8 stone of bone
Good luck to everyone, who you reach your targets.0
