I was very scared about going but they are very discreet about it , sp i plucked up the courage to go and i weighed in at 32stones 12lbs and nobody battered an eye lid they were all very friendly and asked how i was doing. so go along it could be just what you need.

My wife has just finished her SW training and takes her first class on Tuesday, they emphasise that weight should be kept confidential and that the consultants are not there to humiliate you but to help the best they can, your consultant should make you feel welcome and you only have to remember that everyone at the group is there for the same reason...to lose weight and that the consultants have also been at the same stage that you have.. they first go to lose weight then become consultants at a later date! good luck
I would love some decent telly on a Saturday night

.... yep, as someone who's been to the initial consultant meeting where they try to get you interested, this was emphasised there too.

    Morning all :hello:

Just a quick post as I'm supposed to be packing my overnight bag ready to go oop north, I'm catching the train at 2, so I'd better get on with it!

I won't be around later or tomorrow, so good luck to everyone who is weighing in, in the next couple of days.

I'm looking forward to catching up on ten million posts when I get on line next! ;)

    Afternoon all :hello:

Beanie, having had a bout of the vapours on discovering the cost of the old Radleys  I conclude they probably look more exciting in the flesh than in a piccy. I'm not really a handbag sort of gel though - hate not having both hands free so tend to like small rucksacs.:D

Victory: thought of you last night at 3am :rotfl: as loud ranting man serenaded the street

Starlight: phew it's not just me then re day before weigh in! I have real trouble sleeping the night before (Mon eve) - half anxious but half excited too. How tragic is that! :rotfl:

Went for biggest walk in the world yesterday so feel I can legitimately put my feet up today. Pushing for 1lb loss this week to reach my 1st stone but I think I'm likely to maintain having had such a big loss this week.

Just finished off last night's pasta bake for a cold lunch Lois. Yum.
Good luck with the quorn experiment Petrichor. Well done on hubby on realising it was reasonable to give it a go.

Hi Ajax, well getting seriously addicted to quorn sausages for a start:rotfl: . I've taken to cooking a few at a time and keeping them cold in the fridge as a handy free snack when the munchies strike.
BTW just PM'ed you with password.
Due to a switch in some heavy duty drugs, for the first time in years have had the energy to do some exercise in the last month and did my longest walk for years yesterday (6.5 miles :A but felt like 15). Fabulous.:D. Down side is that new self injecting drugs ain't working yet so original health problems getting worse so not feel brill.
Was hoping for a 1lb loss this week to reach my 1st stone but checking the scales this morning I think I'll be lucky to maintain. And that's ok - had a big loss this week. OH has his graduation ceremony this week (which makes us sound a lot younger than we are;) ) So a celebratory meal is unavoidable. Just got to find a restuarant that serves up water and raw carrot...:D

You found your lost sample yet (you can't get the staff...and him a yellow belt too)

Wow BB, that's a good walk. I have to say, I don't envy you with the self-injecting medication, a bit squiffy when it comes to that sort of thing. I can imagine Suggs choking on his lunch now, he's probably just donated four pints of blood to the floor during a friendly game of rugger.

That's a good idea for pre-cooking the sausages... can have them to dip in a tomatoey onioney salad like that. You could always ask your restaurant if they'd get some Quorn bangers in for you :) Well done to OH by the way, what's his subject?

Oops..:o .. I did find my sample - it was by the kettle in the tea room. Quite what the auditors would make of that, I don't know, we're supposed to control them rigidly. I can see the headline now "Plane falls out of sky, killing 200. Crash investigators focus on suspect smell of orange/echinacea fruit infusion"

Could someone on SW please PM me with this week's website password - I haven't seen my new consultant for more than 2 minutes total so haven't got her number or email address yet. I think the password from two weeks ago will be out of action tomorrow so I'll be unable to use the site :( )

    Thanks in advance.
