Lose Weight 13

Hi Lainie - my son went through a very difficult phase that started when he was 13, and he demonstrated some of the behaviours that you've mentioned in your post, however your son's behaviour sounds more extreme. I hope you get some support - I hope for your's and his sake that it doesn't turn out to be mental illness, but if it does there are lots of things that can be done that will help. It may all be tied in with puberty, so rest assured, teenagers do get through it and come out the other side as human beings.

LL
Being honest with myself he has done nearly all of the the things i mentioned from beinging a toddler , but at about 11 it started to become very aggresive aswell and i have put this part down to puberty , i hope it isnt a mental illness but to have some answers would be a great help , i think the not knowing and wondering is the worst part , i never know if i'm doing right for doing wrong.

Hello there.
thanks for the recipe petrichor the garlic beans sound yummy!
Thanks ajax too for the meal plan, it's helping me get my head around it.
I am doing my best but messed up yesterday SW-wise, still trying to get my head round it and not 'cheat', i really wanna do well!!!
Had 2 boiled eggs for brekkie with 2 slices wholemeal bread (heB). have decided to have neutral breakfasts (someone else suggested this, cant remember who right now but thanks!) so that i can see what's on offer for lunch/dinner (living with parents means u dont get much independence meal-wise, it's nice not having to cook but it's still a big adjustment) and make the red/green decision based on that (ie if i know dinner will be pasta/rice then i'll make sure everything else that day is green too)
Because i have the book but no webpage password i cant work out the syns of everything i have, so is it ok to use 'equivalents' - ie just had a ribena lolly but it isnt in the book but mini calippo is 3 syns and they're similar size and content so can i just assume it's about the same??
Well done all the losers and welcome newbies!Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -
Hi, I have been reading your posts about Quorn and have been inspired to go and see if my local supermarket sells any quorn goodies. I was on a fat free diet because of gall bladder problems a few years ago and almost lived on quorn! In the last three weeks I haven't lost any weight but feel happy that I am maintaining my weight whilst on these horrible meds. Right I'm off out in search of Quorn!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Crumbs what a bizarre day.....on the walk to the hairdressers a man tried to grab my arm and scream at me, I shouted no get off me and could see the hair dressers so ran in there...the stupidist thing is I had sensed he was going to do something as there was just me and him on the path...
Hair, eyebrows and tash done, walked into town and more screaming from a local alcoholic man covered in tattooes swaying all over the place, I put out my cig and darted into a shop, when the coast was clear came out again only for the alchi not to have gone far and to be in the middle of the road, when he spotted me he started to run over and I ended up rooted to the spot with a panic attack...
I was in such a state had to call my son, he came into town and was very overwhelmed by the state I was in but we managed to get home....
My H does not want to cmome back off hols for the wembley football match next month so went to work and offered them to a friend there, our conversation was twice overheard by 2 women who came over and offered to buy them there and then for cash, both arguing between them while Iam still asking my friend does her son and H want them, off one goes to the cash point and returns with the money and shoves it in my hand(do not know here at all) takes the email confirmation off me as we have not got the actual tickets yet, says she will be back nearer the time for the tickets and off she goes!! Like I say a very bizarre day...
wHAT else can happen to me?;)0 -
Just wanted to say well done to maniac on your weight loss, thats a great amount:j :j
Im not following a diet but have reduced my intake of food and increasing my exercise, seems to be working, dont know where all this willpower is coming from:rotfl:
I am going to keep note of all the losing weight recipes so i can try them out, had chicken and pineapple last night with some piri piri, tasted yummy.
My one weakness is normally bread, as i make my own and use butter, as i like to know what goes into my food, so when i have bread i am having a slice then folding it in half as this works great.
mum has just taken over some hobnobs with cranberries in them, i keep eyeing them up so hope i can only stop at one:eek: will keep them for the kids i think!

thank you!!! I am addicted to the blackcurrant ribena lollies so its good to know they are low syn!
Having a green day today - baked potato with beans and cheddar HeA (takes so much of the guilt out of the cheese knowing that i have to have it for healthy extras)
Dinner will be wholegrain pasta with tom sauce and leeks.
Yum yum.
off to the pub tonight but will be a good girl - overdid it with the wine last night as i was with some old friends who i hadnt seen in years and we didnt keep track of how many bottles we were buying! not very SW tut tut but as i've said i have had a couple of hit/miss days still trying to get into it, so when yesterday's eating went wrong i did the worst thing and thought 'sod it if ur gonna do it wrong u may as well do it really wrong!!!'
So diet coke all night for me!! :A
Well done maniac! brilliant loss!! Well done everyone else who's lost!
victory what a bizzare day u poor thing!! hope you're ok now.
oops a daisy the best low cal drink IMO is vodka, lime and soda. And when i really cant resist wine i have half a glass of dry white with soda.Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0
