And anyone who doesn't become a Quorn addict after trying the peppered steaks or the meatballs is stronger than Arnie :) I promise you, once tried, never go back :)

Definitely going to try the 'meatballs' on OH Ajax  . In a nice tomato sauce could go down very well. (BTW re me saying I found the thai fillets quite hot - yes I am a weed when it comes to anything spicy!:D )

BB normally that would be a fantastic idea. However we have a new consultant and her experience of us so far has been two weeks of not staying and a week of not turning up. I really have to go to her class this week :)

Of course - I wasn't thinking. I was thinking you were doing your own weigh in at home in the morning. Having just discovered the cost of the much drooled over radley bags  I had a brainstorm and forgot you went to a class like me.

    Hi guys,
Just a recommendation for weight watchers here. I have always been hopeless with losing weight but I have been doing weight watchers for 3 weeks, have lost 8lbs and it's really easy to follow. Thumbs up from me :T .

Lainie - I've heard that a diet lacking in essential nutrients can bring on ADHD, so changes to the diet can improve it. How old is your son, and is he getting any help with school work? Have you been given any advice about dealing with it?

    LL

It could be diet although he eats all fruit and veg etc infact the only thing i have found he doesnt like is tomatos , He is 13 yrs old , he may be at most 7lb overweight he is 5ft7 and takes a sizes mans 11 shoe , he is never still and displays many extreme behaviors which are hard to explain for example i will copy and paste part of my diary from last night to show u want i mean

Well its been another mentally tough day , as are most at the moment , My son has been well a nightmare for want of a better word he isnt sleeping at the moment which happens for weeks at a time(then for about a week he cant stay awake) and so neither am i , monday - he was awake till after 2am / last night it was 3am and today after messing my sitting room he than tossed loads of stuff out the bedroom window (papers , pens , socks etc) now he has decided to play chuck everything down the stairs , i am so mentally drained , i am past crying , i have never felt so !!!! in my whole life , i love him to bits but he is killing me slowly , i dont know what else to do , i am pinning my hopes on a consultant pyshicatrist meeting on tuesday in the hope i will get answers for his behavior , i really think there is some sort of mental illness because i cant believe that anyone could behave the way he does without there an issue , i hate that i am typing this and although at first i would not admit to myself that there is anything wrong i now know for my own sanity something has to be done , to know he couldnt help it would make a really big difference to how i feel , but after trying to talk him down from the windowsill for the 5th time tonight he than jumped off on to the chair again with my heart in my mouth if i try to stop him , it seems to become a game which he finds very funny , its now 1.40am he has just come downstairs(after chucking down his socks from his drawer and dvds etc) telling me he is going to sleep now and gives me a kiss and cuddle and to him its like it never happened and when you mention punishing him for what he did he gets very upset and angry like he did nothing wrong including crying his eyes out , anyway i really needed to get that out and i know all can see this but i really feel that he cant help it as to believe he could would devastate me further , the one good thing i did was stick to my weightloss plan whoo hoo me.

This is a typical day for me , hence why i wondered about the adhd thing , i have fought for years for someone medical to listen , my family have been the best as without them i would be standing let alone typing this , he has not gone to school for nearly 1 year and still i have fought and fought and finally they having given him the apointment i feel he should have had years ago , his behaivor when he was at school is just the same they describe it as silly etc and they are only now realising there is more to it , he has always been hyper and when he was really young i put it down to a boy thing but since hiting puberty it has also become agressive , abusive and dangerous , i really dont know what i will do if i dont get any answers from this meeting on tuesday my mam keeps telling me not to pin my hopes up but i cant help it.

i dont know if any of you have relations in your family that have simliar problems , if so please let me know .

sorry i know it wasnt about diet etc.

    Lainie x

Sounds nice ... any chance of the recipe? :D

.....hmmm.... I was sure it was in the book I have brought with me, but I was wrong :( When I do it at home I don't use the book, I just lump in what I can find and then chuck some curry powder, cumin and ginger in. Can I interest you in anything different as a stop-gap until I find the right book, either tomorrow or Monday? Ginger and orange saucy courgettes, perhaps?

....lol I'm sort of your equivalent here. Based on the old 2-6-2 rule I think we can get a critical mass going here and boost Quorn to new heights :)

Morning peeps:D today is filled with beautifying myself (well at least give it a good go for my hols next week:rotfl: :rotfl: ) having the famous tash done that H commented on:eek: , my hair and eyebrows, was going to have my eyelashes tinted but have been told it does not last long and is not worth the money so changed my mind, I am not into wasting money;)

My litttle one is into asking millions of questions about the hol at the mo, last year we went to a hotel and were served the food, this year it is a flat, there will be no food in it and we will have to go and buy it and cook it and he cannot understand how we won't starve:rotfl: I know my cooking is not cordon bleu but even so...:rotfl: :rotfl: Good job really weight maintaining wise that I have rented a flat so that I can keep a close eye on the food and what I am serving myself, to me that is a bonus, to others having no washing machine, air conditioning in the flat, having to buy and prepare all your summer hol food and travel wash everything is worse than going camping:rotfl: :rotfl: to me more sweating over the washing and cooking in 35 degrees mean more calories burnt and more exercise, can't be bad?;)
