Okay, I did weigh myself in the end and I've actually managed to reduce my weight gain from 3lbs to 1lb gain, despite a big dinner party last night!

Change of heart LL - please can you keep me on the August challenge after all, it might help keep me on the straight and narrow/v winding path towards weight loss!:o I'll be back from France on 27th for a few days before India so I'll check in then. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions newlywed, I'm going to bake some potatoes this morning!

Bails that's a 2lb loss! How fantastic! :T Yes, I'm a headteacher. I can't claim to teach any more, really I just do paperwork and hide.;)

Sureslim has a website https://www.sureslimuk.com. There was NO temptation to join!
The 'consultant' was not able to show me a sample of their eating plan at all, they are all individual, but I'd thought they would have a generic one as a model. I wanted to know how much detail the plan had for example. So she told me about her own plan. Only 'free' foods were lettuce, celery, cucumber. She wasn't allowed various fruits and vegetable based on her blood test results and very limited amounts of others (half a tomato!)You don't get a re-test as your weight/health changes so that's it for ever I guess.
Basically, apart from a restricted range of foods, you must only eat 3 meals a day, at intervals of 4 t o 5 hours. No snacks, only water or black coffee/black tea and not even fruit tea. (that might have been specific to her) No bread, rice, pasta. potato. Then the meals are weighed out carefully, according to her you have to be careful of the grammage. Is that a new term for weight that I haven't come across?

Well I wouldn't pay tuppence for that, let alone £496.

Oh, and by adjusting your eating you can increase the amount of human growth hormone your body produces. I asked her why doctors treating children for restricted growth didn't know that instead of using medication. I think that's when she really went off me.

So I'll count calories, be careful of fats, and maybe have some SW red days or green days. I wish I hadn't thrown away my SW booklets in disgust when I put all the weight back on.

    Trust all is well.

4 days till the holiday, 4 days for me to hit the little and final revised target. 1lb to go as last week I lost 3lb :D

It would be nice and lovely to go away knowing I hit the target, but if I dont, then what the hey :)

Well done to beard, bails (on your loss of a gain:confused:) afsha, grannynise, beanielou, erlqueen, Retiredlady, efreize and my bit of rough loving Brighton Belle

Sadly not Grannynise, it's a pound on from last week but hey ho, it could've been 3! Are you primary or secondary?

As for Sureslim, what a load of ******** (insert own insult of choice)! I LOVE that you took a list of questions and stumped her with the growth hormone stuff, nice work! :D

    Good luck with your plan.

Hey, well done everyone, there's some fantastic weight loss going on here! :T:T:T

It's very inspiring so I will give it a go this week and if I can find the internet I'll let you know how I get on.

Boys, if it's shorts you're after, I could always send you one of me in my lycra hockey shorts (don't worry, it was before I ate a cow!):rotfl:
