Ajax - you know you can save up to 4 points a day to use later in the week? As in if you're planning a big night out with the boys - that's when to keep them. Are you aware that your points spent on alcohol is limited to 21 per week?

I've found if I have a not hungry day, it's useful to save my points for later in the week when I'm having a STARVING day.

and yes you lucky boys get away with lots on WW, just because of your dangly bits....AND I know you only said that just so you could say "penis" on the forums without getting slapped! lol
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

... well done efrieze. It's hard getting the scales in the same place every week - different parts of my bathroom floor sem to generate a different weight, but I guess all that can be done is to report what we get.

    Nice loss! :T

Im slightly obsessive about that lol Scales have to be on the tile 3 up from the sink and 2 in from the unit :o

.... starlight, don't think like that. In my experience, it never happens when you try hardest, it happens the week after. That's not bulldust, it really does seem to happen, but then you will know that yourself if you are true to yourself. You CAN do it!! And what's the worst that can happen? 95 lbs? That would be an awful result wouldn't it? Come on, chin up, be extremely proud of yourself and soldier on.

Go and listen to your favourite song x

Youre totally right.... 95lbs isnt bad by anyones standards, and what I have to remember is days like yesterday with my niece are only possible because of the weight Ive lost so far!!

    Thanks ajax *HUGS*

    Morning all

    Well, I'm reporting a
2lb gain this week - it's probably worse but I can't bear to weigh today. Feeling pretty despondent about it but that's just the way it is right now:(

I know all the reasons why (illness etc) but logic doesn't really help at mo. I also know it won't always be like this but it's v frustrating all the same

    Anyway, enough moping...

Can you remove me from the August Challenge please LL, as I won't be here from tomorrow and I'll join the October one when I get back. Will it be a new thread and where will I find it, as I came across this one by accident?

Good luck everyone for today, I'm off to read all last night's posts to cheer me up :D xx

.......going well thanks delly. Had a spare 8.5 points to waste so had a bottle of wine. My kinda dieting :D. I do have to say though, I think that WW is extremely harsh on ladies. Six extra points just for having a penis is great but embarrassing.

Oh my God, you can drink a whole bottle of wine on WW? Where do I join?:D I can always grow an extra limb if need be...or just fashion one out of my saddlebags! God, I'd be well hung!!:rotfl:

Thanks guys, you're cheering me up already, and I've still got posts to read. Yippee!:T

Congratulations to everyone who's posted losses so far, nice work!:T:A

Grannynise, I too am intrigued by your impending Sureslim presentation so let us know details. Am I right in thinking you're a teacher too?

Has anyone got any good tips to help while I'm away please? Just to recap in case you missed my post (WHY WEREN'T YOU LISTENING TO ME?!;)), we're heading to France for 2 1/2 weeks on Thursday then India for September (courtesy of some ludicrously cheap flights, thanks MSE!)

Even contemplating WW or SW on my return (it's just Ajax luring me in with his bottles of wine!) but in all seriousness, I don't think I can handle such a 'regime' (had an ED since I was a kid so need to be careful). Hopefully it'll make things easier once I can get into a routine with my food and exercise (I use this term v loosely of course, the marathons are still a long way off :o)

Right, enough of this talking to myself - I'm off to try and make me some moolah before the OH surfaces. Have a great day peeps xxx

The thread will always be at the top of the I Wanna...section of the forums :D The only advice I can give is just enjoy yourself, eat as healthily as you can but allow yourself some of the local delicacies (sp?) it won't be a holiday otherwise  ...

Have shed 1.5 lbs, and it wasn't really a whole week. Off to the sureslim place now, tell you all about it later. I have a list of questions written out -- that'll freak them.

    Hi all.

    grannynise - well done that's a good start ;)

As for your question on lunches... I bake a batch of potatoes in the oven, freeze them, defrost one overnight in the fridge for the next day then add and a tin of tuna mixed with light salad cream for my lunch - the potato heats up in microwave in 2 mins. Sometimes I have some beans on it instead.

Although yesterday I had home made chicken soup. Today is left over chicken risotto, last week was leftover tuna pasta bake.

I found eating toast for breakfast meant I was hungry by the time I got to work - so now I have porridge and it has reduced my snacking greatly - also means I eat less for lunch too ;)
