grannynise wrote: »Thanks to all for the advice to steer clear of Sureslim for the time being (and your kind offers to relieve me of my cash!:rotfl: ). I am going to a presentation tomorrow morning, but will NOT be taking a plastic card with me so no chance of being brainwashed into paying and joining. But I am intrigued to hear more about it, and I'll let you know what they say ... £490 for a year of support.
I DO know what not to eat and what to eat, I just lack won't-power.:o
Any advice for what to eat for lunch? I'm OK at breakfasts, dinner seems to be worth makng an effort for but lunch is a challenge. What do you eat in the middle of the day?
.... I beg you to stick to your guns and not take any plastic. I'd also love to see you change your mind about going altogether.... these toerags can be overly persuasive I'd guess and never let go. I'd never suggest you are weak or stupid or anything like that, but there are all sorts of tricks "Can you sign our attendance schedule?" (Contract) Maybe I've just seen too many timeshare reps?
As for eating in the middle of the day, what is your routine? Work? Home? What facilities do you have if at work?

Sounds like a good idea

If you find yourself reaching for something that you know you really, really, shouldn't have grab a glass of water in one hand and your mouse in the other. Come browse around in here - it may help the craving to pass. Failing that go do anything that takes you away from temptation.
How do I get on the list for weighing in?
You have to beg Lois on bended knees, plead with her with your best 'I'm not worthy but please, please may I be included on your chart. Or... just ignore my suggestion - she is normally very good up messages and adding you automatically :rotfl:

Depends a lot on if you are at home or at work. I'm at work but usually grab a plate salad, wholemeal pitta stuffed with salad and meat, Batchelors rice or pasta, scrambled egg on toast, beans on toast (no butter!!) but I have a well stocked kitchen at the office. Oh by the way - I don't eat all that at the same time
Stupid system wouldn't let me post this until I added this last line.... ! By which time half a dozen of you have beaten me to it

Ok --- if you really think I should shout .... Lois!!! now I'm worried in case it was too pushy
Do I say how much I've lost/gained on Wenesday -- I think I read that in an earlier post?
In term time I work and lunch is easier in that I have little time to eat. I have cottage cheese every every every day. Probably a bad idea, but it's very easy to organise. In school holidays I'm at home or out gallivanting so in theory it should be easy but it isn't. But I'll try some of the suggestions already made.
Ajax thanks for the advice. I am the most suspicious person in the world when it comes to spurious claims, I can absolutely guarantee that nothing will be signed/paid/agreed to. Hey, I haven't even given them my phone number! But I am fascinated to hear more about the set up ... the fee is non negotiable, so if you have 10lb to lose or 10 stone you pay the same. And they say you'll lose it all in a year no matter what. Hmmm, I'll elt you know tomorrow.0 -

... heh heh heh ... Lois is gonna kick your bottom now. She hates shoutersgrannynise wrote: »Do I say how much I've lost/gained on Wenesday -- I think I read that in an earlier post?
.... Lois prints the weekly update on a Wednesday evening but you can record your weekly results whenever you like - just weigh on the same day every week; same time ideally, with the same sort of clothes on.grannynise wrote: »In term time I work and lunch is easier in that I have little time to eat. ... how do you plan to go about your journey? You could pretty much follow one of the slimming group plans like WW or SW from here without having to pay - enough recipes get posted up and there is experience of those too. You might find it better to go alone more ad hoc and calorie-count which is the method favoured by most - I think particularly of victory and suggs who both have mammoth losses (apologies to the other big losers like starlight and her nigh on 7 stone). Take a look at Lois' chart tomorrow night or the current one which is accessible from the first message of this thread for some inspiration.grannynise wrote: »Ajax thanks for the advice. ... lol yeah right  . I'm curious as to what they say too if truth be told. I actually like going into timeshare meetings and either pointing out their flaws or leading them on to believe I'm a real punter then walking out right on signing time. But then I'm a much bigger steward than most.0 -
