Enough for me.Be happy...;)0 -
It is very rare that a charity annoys me so much, but the RSPCA consistently manage it.
The RSPCA has no powers to come and take away anyone's animals.
The RSPCA has no right to come trespassing on your property demanding to inspect your animals.
They waste a heck of a lot of money sending their "Inspectors" on police courses, like surveillance, advanced driving and the like. And most police officers do not even realise they have no legal powers.
They are a charity, the fact they have "Royal" in the title gives them no powers above those of an ordinary subject. They are simply charity workers in fancy dress.
If an "Inspector" from the NSPCC, in a police like uniform, turned up at your house and demanded to inspect your children you wouldn't let them, so do not allow these clowns to inspect your animals or pets.
Watching some pet rescue type program has quite annoyed me at the way these costumed morons behave.0 -
Chances are they are investigating you for a reason.
Maybe take better care of vulnerable animals under your care?
The NSPCC wouldn't rock up at your door for your kids anyway, they'd send Social Services and if you refused them access you might as well pack a suitcase for the kiddywinks.
Brilliant!0 -
But surely they would only want to be inspecting your animals if they had had a tip off? In which case, how exactly do you expect animal cruelty to be investigated if they didn't check claims out? Sure you could get the police out every time but how much police time would that waste? The current system seems to be the best that we have at the moment.
I would have no qualms letting inspectors in if someone accused me of mistreating my pets as it couldn't be further from the truth, regardless of if they had official powers or not.0 -
Might I suggest you dotn watch the programme you refer to in future to avoid further rage :-)No One I Think Is In My Tree.:cool:0

If the RSPCA came to my door I would tell them they were in the wrong country. The SSPCA can and do have the right to do all these things and do have legal powers including reporting cases directly for prosecution. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I don't know where you think we live, but we are part of a society where people are innocent until proven guilty. When there is severe animal abuse/neglect that has taken place, people like the RSPCA and the police are keen to put orders in place to prevent the people involved ever owning animals again. They cannot just slap a judgement like this on someone because they feel like it, and rightly so. It's called living in a democracy. So of course there has to be a process of prosecution.First home purchased 09/08/2013
