It is very rare that a charity annoys me so much, but the RSPCA consistently manage it.
The RSPCA has no powers to come and take away anyone's animals.
The RSPCA has no right to come trespassing on your property demanding to inspect your animals.
They waste a heck of a lot of money sending their "Inspectors" on police courses, like surveillance, advanced driving and the like. And most police officers do not even realise they have no legal powers.
They are a charity, the fact they have "Royal" in the title gives them no powers above those of an ordinary subject. They are simply charity workers in fancy dress.
If an "Inspector" from the NSPCC, in a police like uniform, turned up at your house and demanded to inspect your children you wouldn't let them, so do not allow these clowns to inspect your animals or pets.
Watching some pet rescue type program has quite annoyed me at the way these costumed morons behave.

I think your post says a lot more about you then it does the RSPCA.0 -

I am unsure what you are attempting to reply. I was laboring under the illusion this is the place to air ones vents. Thus the RSPCA have annoyed me, hence the vent.0 -

You are quite right... this is the place for vents.
However, when you make your point of view public, you must expect others to comment... whether in support or not.0 -

So - do you feel better after your vent?
I hope so 'cos if a charity gets you so het up, I'm (almost) fearful for your blood pressure.0 -
I have nothing to hide .. I spoil my pets ( have been known to hand feed them steak and chicken) so if a rspca inspector wanted to visit i'd happily show them in (and offer them a brew and a sit down) if the dogs would actually give them room on the sofa to sit down !!!!!
I've nowt to hide.... I've nowt to fear.Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...
Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.0 -
But surely they would only want to be inspecting your animals if they had had a tip off? In which case, how exactly do you expect animal cruelty to be investigated if they didn't check claims out? Sure you could get the police out every time but how much police time would that waste? The current system seems to be the best that we have at the moment.
I would have no qualms letting inspectors in if someone accused me of mistreating my pets as it couldn't be further from the truth, regardless of if they had official powers or not.0 -
Chances are they are investigating you for a reason.
Maybe take better care of vulnerable animals under your care?
The NSPCC wouldn't rock up at your door for your kids anyway, they'd send Social Services and if you refused them access you might as well pack a suitcase for the kiddywinks.0 -
I believe they will get the police out and action a warrant if necessary and if the owner is being uncooperative. I am shocked that anyone would have such a view of a service there to assist vulnerable animals. Maybe it's a case that they don't care for trolls.0

There's nothing in this vent that seems specific to the OP.
I think he's just been watching TV and got himself all worked up.It is very rare that a charity annoys me so much, but the RSPCA consistently manage it.

Maybe a good idea for the OP to invest in one of these foam bricks:0
