We have had some suspicious calls in over the last week ref supposed multi million purchases with phone numbers we believe to be a concern.

We were wondering if they were disguised premium rate lines.

  • 070 and 076 are NOT mobile numbers, they are 'follow on' lines to anything they choose to point them at.

52p a minute from BT landline + one off call charge (and gazillions if you use a mobile)

The number we were given on the first call was a 070 but strangely we left the call with the ball in their court and no reason to call them back ourselves.

Perhaps they think we will chase them but that is not our style.

We could do with a "how long between each stage" sticky.

Q- "How long until the 123 as my ABC was sent back to XYZ on Tuesday?"

    A - 48 hours.

    :D

  • Received a bunch of emails from client with all the usual, pay, id, proof of deposit, P60, bank statements, details of existing debts...

Noticed another name CC'd onto the email - on enquiring it turns out the Estate Agents requested copies of everything on placing an offer?

    Grrrrrr

Now I know how my clients feel.

I'm looking at properties over the next couple of weeks, looking to get the mortgage approved.

Another one in over the weekend.

    070 number through unbiased.

We are asking them why their systems cannot pick this up.

One of ours had an appointment booked for her with a mortgage adviser in the agents office. An appointment she neither wanted, nor asked for, and was told to bring in a similar list of items.

We already have her a full offer stage, she is just switching properties.

    It is all so amateurish.

Just had a call from the agent of another client wanting to know what the LTV on the application was. She has already been told DIP is in place and source of funds for deposit confirmed.

I politely told her that I was happy to veryify my clients ability to purchase the property for the full asking price, but the LTV was between me and the client.

Three NatWest application threads all running at the same time.

    It's getting a bit repetetive...
