Well that was totally pointless, loads of people there but no one ready to buy for the next 12-18 months.

Last couple of weeks we've seen two threads on broker-based applications to RBS.

I thought "RBSIP" was NatWest only and RBS was direct-only.

    Anyone clarify?

We can't use RBS anymore just Nat West but BDM hasn't changed. We are AR.

I thought RBS was limited distribution through selected Intermediaries.

Could be wrong though, it was a while ago it happened.

  • We (as a TenetLIME AR) were switched to RBS at the end of '13 ....

Which brokers will RBS IP be selling through – will it be whole of market?

[FONT=Verdana,Verdana][FONT=Verdana,Verdana]Whilst it remains an RBS-owned business (before becoming part of Williams and Glyn’s), RBS IP will be offering its mortgages initially to only the appointed representatives (ARs) of Tenet Group and Personal Touch Financial Services. NatWest Intermediary Solutions will not be selling through the ARs of Tenet and PTFS once RBS IP launches.

... hasn't made a great deal of difference to our lives (very little, if any, difference in products and criteria / I understand that the ratio of brokers:BDMs is improved, our new guy is excellent but so was our previous Natwest lady).

    Hi Brokers,

I know every case is different but have you used Natwest for mortgage lately? Please what were the time scales from submission of full application for a first time buyer?

    Thank you in advance

Its taking around 4-5 working days to look over paperwork from when its received in their office.

As Natwest only deal by post, fac and carrier pigeon that may not be the date you gave them to the broker/in branch.

Speak to your broker then but I suspect it will be Tuesday/Wednesday before you hear anything.
