I dont really know Irlam that well. I used to go to Barton Airport and then Makro with the grandparents as a kid. Im assuming the tesco and kwik save (or was it iceland?) which were right opposite each other have gone now?

The Broker blues thread has turned into a cash and carry discussion.

Kingstreet, you're fond of picking up people when they misuse "are" and "our", or "advice" and "advise", why have you never informed your colleague ACG that "you are" is contracted to "you're", not "your"?

I might have noted it in here as a matter of personal irritation, but I'm not guilty of "picking up people" for anything.

I'm not here to correct people. I'd like to think I have more tolerance and class than that; however irritating it might have been at the time.

Costco membership (I'm probably breaking some sort of rule here - DIGAF) ....

    Individual Membership

    ...
long list of public sector and professionally qualified bods.
    ...
.... at 30 notes including VAT for the year I reckon its the deal of the century (currently saving that every couple of months just buying our copy paper @ < £10 for 5 reams)

IMHO trade membership is better, not least because you get admission in the quieter mornings (individual members are only admitted after 12) and get free coffee and cookies and membership is only £24 inc VAT.
    TRADE MEMBERSHIP
Created especially for business owners and managers, Costco’s Trade Membership lets you purchase products
for your business or for resale.

You need to provide the following:

A current business utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months.
If the business is run from a home address or if you are self-employed, then the home utility bill will suffice

    and,

Two additional types of identification from the following list:

    VAT Certificate
    Accountant’s Letter
    Business Cheque
    Business Invoice
    Business Insurance
    Tax Document

    PLUS Photo ID
