The "travellator" (think escalator without steps) you used to use to get upstairs at Barton Moss?
You could take a trolley on it and it didn't roll back down. Cool or what?I am a mortgage broker. Thats the one. I would always try to push it anyway. It was just like Tesco but for giants... fond memories.
Costco just isnt the same. Probably because I have only been as an adult? I also begrudge paying for a membership to then go and buy things from them. That is some business model isnt it? You have to pay to come in to be able to buy things from us... Its giving me an idea for my office :PI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. The Reading Makro had (now taken out - 1st floor closed) one of those travellators - dead clever.
But my vote is for Cost-Co - much cheaper, loads of 'specials' and a near endless supply of free nibbles on the way round.
Their 'ready prepared lines' are brilliant - and the pizzas on the way out (cafe) are to die for (and bloody near free)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I've never been to CostCo. Do you have to mess about with invoices and stuff to shop there, or just pay the fee?I am a mortgage broker.
