It's called pacman syndrome. It hits us all from time to time. All you can do is go with it, though that may explain my need for weight loss. Just don't try to do too much. Thanks for the kind thoughts, guys. I am still feeling a bit out of sorts but have at least eaten properly today.
Off to bed now - I am definitely not getting enough sleep which doesn't help.:o0 -
You should maybe think about a few early nights. Even if you just read, it may make a good sleep more achieveable.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Thanks EnjoyingLife - I'm feeling OK tonight actually.
I am still not getting enough sleep - I went to bed before midnight last night (unusual for me) but it took me ages to get to sleep and I didn't want to get up this morning. But I'm not feeling too bad actually.
I did the food shopping after work and did pretty well. Got 4 x 4-packs of baked beans in Mr A for £5 and also 4 x Kenco coffee for £5. Definitely worth popping in for those bargains if you're near one.Overall my multibuy savings were over £15. :T
In Mr W I got a sumptuous chunk of fillet steak which was reduced to half-price. I fried it in butter and had it with sauteed mushrooms and tomatoes and some wild rocket. It was DEE-LIC-IOUS.
I've been getting a bit more work done in the garden but not much. My plants seem to be making slow progress, not sure if it's just because the weather has been a bit dull and cold. I have jobs planned for tomorrow but I'm not at all sure if I'll be able to get it done because the weather looks wet, wild and windy.
Have made no progress whatsoever on the ebaying / amazon front but I did find the camera charger so I hope to make headway on that over the weekend. I have Monday off as well but I am going up to London in the afternoon so I won't have a lot of spare time.
I am having BIG problems with my big toe which is very painful when I walk on it, particularly if I wear high heels. Yesterday I hobbled around at work because it was so painful so I will have to stick to flat shoes from now on. Which rules out a lot of my work clothes.I am seeing the doctor on Monday morning to see what the problem is because it is quite debilitating.
I have managed to rein in the eating-rubbish phase and I've been pretty good for the past few days. Still eating too much chocolate but it is quality chocolate so I won't be too hard on myself.0 -
Hey p&f, hope the doctor can help to quickly identify the issue and put things right x
Well done on your bargainous shopping :T My shopping bill was quite high at the beginning of the year due to buying several months of coffee whilst on offer - it saves money the rest of the year
I walked down the garden today and pulled out some of next doors ivy  they have it growing all along the side thats against our garden so i can see this will now be something i need to be vigilant about as it had started wrapping itself around some of my plants

Thanks, DDFW. My toe isn't too bad today but I've been wearing flat thick-soled shoes which help a lot.
Spent HOURS in the garden today, got loads done including turning over the compost heap into the heap beside it, digging lots of lovely compost into my raised beds, planting out the nasturtiums, beetroot, lettuce and peas. Sowing some carrots. Potting up lots of flower seedlings. Great stuff and my legs ache a lot now.
Yesterday, I went out on bit of a housework-spree, got loads of spring-cleaning done and now keep opening cupboards to admire my handiwork.
Am about to sort out some laundry but I did loads of ironing this morning while watching Columbo so really I don't have that much to do. Weird feeling. Am now watching the final MOTD of the season, it's Hansen's last one and I must admit I won't miss his sour-faced blatantly biased semi-coherent comments next season.
Congrats to Man City on winning the league - it was an exciting season and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
Have tomorrow off but have lots planned so I'm not sure how much stuff I'll get done. Have more potting up to do and more seeds to sow - we'll see how I get on.0 -
Hope all is well with you P&F and your toe is a little better now.
