Good evening everyone just thought I would let you know
I am Spartacus ....
I met Tommy Cooper years ago at billingham forum.,
I also met Prince Phillip about ten years ago , and though he was getting on what a handsome dashing man he was up close .... Would have put a bet on that he was ugly puss but in the flesh quite handsome. And very very charming . Gush gush0 -

If you want peace of mind it is easy if you have a split socket like this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/NTE5a-Master-BT-Authorised-Factory/dp/B003TQXJ82
Remove the bottom part and you will find a socket underneath, that is known as the test socket and is right on the end of the line. Plug your phone into that and if it still does not ring then it is down to BT.
Don't ask me what could be causing it though, I do know that you need 75V for the phone to ring and that is normally provided by the telephone line, so it could be something in the local exchange.
Thank you, just nipped through to check which socket - BT installed one with 2 bits in it, bottom bit is the same as the pic so do I just unscrew that part or do I leave it for the many the morn. Hubby offshore just now and I would have gotten him to have a ficker lol.
Helpline said that the engineer checked the local exchange.0 -

Ok, need a favour please, has anyone had problems with their phone after they had BT infinity installed.
Waited in for the engineer this afternoon who was a no-show and sick of being in a queue for 20mins and then have to explain all over again to someone in India (I think).
Since the upgrade, my phone does not ring at this end for incoming calls - although there is a line.
Engineer re-booked for the morn between 1 - 6pm and I will be flaming if I have to cough up £129. Phone worked fine before the upgrade.
Please tell me I am not the only one who has come across this problem.
RANT OVER (thank you for listening).
Now, how is abody the day? x
Ohhhhhh don t mention BT to me . I ve had a bellyfull of them lately. Not because of BT infinity though. I ve got through to automated voices today a few times and a girl in India.0 -
