Experian were mentioned on R4 Money Box today

    FORCED TO INSURE
People who join the Experian 'credit expert' service to get unlimited free access to their credit reports and scores are also insured willy-nilly against ID theft. The cost of the package is £180 a year of which the unasked for insurance accounts for £77. It is sold online so no suitability test is done. Among other things the £77 a year policy will refund the cost of letters and phone calls needed to sort out an ID theft problem.

I thought the Dispatches programme was very disappointing - they seemed to be looking for things to complain about and didn't address any genuine issues. They also suggested at the start that Experian assigns everyone a credit score when we all know that they do nothing of the sort.

    In fact, typical Dispatches..

Thanks Jo, I have just sent you my question to Uksocialsupport@experian.com
    Received :) Thank you
I received this email on 3rd March, and have heard nothing since.
    Hi Fuzzy

Our electoral roll department can check to see if they have received the register for your local authority yet, and see if they can update it.

You may wish to get a copy of the confirmation that you are on the electoral roll so that you can show this to any lenders who search your report in the meantime.

We will let you know once we hear back from our electoral roll team.

    Regards
    Neil

Still don't know if I'm on the ER on Experian :(

Experian , Equifax, CC, complete and utter scum

they play with people's lives, people children's lives. We are a commodity to them, they have no regard for us.

I mean think about this for a minute - how perverted does this sound when you actually think about it?

agencies, get your details wrong, all the time and do you out of life changing scenarios as a result like getting a mortgage etc often through no fault of your own - meanwhile they (should) have all the funding under the sun and they cannot employ a decent enough data entry team with all the required checks and double checks so as to to just NOT get it wrong, right? ...... wrong! ..... and get this, the onus is on YOU to correct them for their misinformation, so not only have they played with your life once, but they actually have the arrogance and audacity to make you pay a stupid ridiculously high premium monthly to check if they've made a mistake....... to me that is insult to injury.

And it's also legalised corruption, it hasn't escaped my notice nor a lot of people's notice, particularly the jag driving suits at the top of Experian, the more they get it wrong, the more people sign up to correct them, throw even more money at the cancer they should be starving of money full stop, and the already over bloated cash rich wicked behemoth thereby grows funded directly by our misery

these people are profiteers of misery, and absolute scum.
