Now I am moving house and I found out that I been taken to Court and i have a CCJS of £285. Sigma Red was the company who take me to court on behalf of T Mobile, they hired HL Solicitors to represent at Northampton County Court
New Tenants credit checks brought me this up, i sorted after days spent on the phone as i had no chose but now the referencing Company Maras is asking for Guarantor with £45000 salary. From where ??? I don't know any one
Following this mater I am losing the £500 deposit and £200 referencing checks
Billy, it's my understanding that they can't keep the £500 deposit if it is THEM who are turning you down for the property.
Tell the agent you want the deposit back now. If you have any problems, call the CAB or Shelter for further assistance.0 -
To be fair to Experian their staff did tell my partner about the possibility of rapid update.
But what I find amazing is that the system depends on people, whose financial information it is supposed to represent correctly, to correct the mistakes on their files themselves! And I wonder how many credit files are there without any mistakes.
The most outrageous thing was the guy who had to go to a solicitor and pay a fee to have a wrongly assigned CCJ removed from his credit record. He should have sued for libel!
Legal advice is so expensive nowadays people just don't dare to sue and that's why these companies get away with such outrages.
There are laws in place against holding incorrect personal information about people, but somehow when you want to exercise those rights with a CRA it costs you lots of time, stress or sometimes even money!0 -
Trying to get a person who has died off your credit report is a nightmare, unless you pay for a credit report from each of the credit reference agencies. Equifax stated in my case that they could not find a record of my Husband on their files, even though other agencies do not have the same problem, they said I would need to purchase a £2 report to generate a reference number so that they could deal with my request!
I am sure that other beavered families are getting the same callous treatment.

My friend, whom I am helping sort out her finances has joined CreditExpert (so I could see what I was working with). On the 19th February we printed off the report, score 789 fair. Last night, she rang me to say her credit rating had dropped to 654 Poor. I logged into her account (26th February and with her permission) and it said there were two negative factors. Firstly a new credit line had been opened, well this is a new current account as she is switching her accounts, it also has NO overdraft facility so why is it classed as a credit account ? Secondly, and most worryingly it said she had an arrear on one of her accounts. This is not so, the next payment on this account is not due until the 3rd March 2014, also I'm confused as it says on this particular account, last updated 09/03/2014. Does this mean Experian has the ability to update in the future ????? What concerns us, if at present she had applied to re-mortgage, take a new credit card or whatever now, she would likely be declined.
I look forward to a response and I would be quite happy to show you and discuss these reports over a pint in Langtry's !! LOL
Hello there
I confirm that yes, opening a new account that's then registered on your credit report with us will negatively impact your Experian score in the short term. This is because a new account is an 'unknown' - lenders like to see accounts with on time full payment history over a long period of time and new accounts don't have this. As soon as the payment history has been established it will positively impact your friends score. Current accounts are included on your report as you have the potential to be overdrawn on the account and therefore this can be classed as 'credit'.
If your friend has a late payment shown on an account and this is incorrect, please ask her to contact us with full details and we will raise an investigation on her behalf.
The 'Account updated to' issue to a date in the future can be a bit confusing. Basically, lenders update our system on a monthly basis via an electronic tape, which is loaded after quality checks are carried out. This information is based on the previous months changes. Where a date is shown in the future this means all quality checks have been passed and the update has been added early. The update therefore covers information up to and including the date shown.
You are right, if your friend has recently had a late payment recorded, and was to go for a mortgage in that month, the chances are the application would be delayed, so it is best that we try and sort this for your friend.
Thanks for the offer of Langtrys! Unfortunately I am not lucky enough to have time for a social life at the moment

I have only just stumbled on this thread having given MSE a miss for a month or so.
So Channel4 Dispatches gave Experian the once-over, eh? There's a surprise.
In October, working in direct partnership with Barclaycard on live provision of CRA data to their online application process, Experian caused a credit card Application Fraud in my name to succeed by reckless disregard for the accuracy of the data they obtained retained and fed back to Barclaycard. I could not be a more consistent customer of them both. Multiple consistent records over many years at same address, no confusion with any other names or addresses. No black marks. Total consistency. Until they f&%* it up.
A fraudster applied for and was given a new Barclaycard online and proceeded to max it out despite Barclaycard and Experian having all my correct details in spades prior to the fraud attempt. Absolutely none of the data given on the application matched apart from my name and address and they did not give any middle name.
I shall not bother trying to find the recording of the programme as I have seen enough of Experian's dire operation myself including James Jones whom I see has now found it all hilarious enough to start signing a multitude of staff names to "Experian Company Representative" postings on this site. One can imagine that the site owners Moneysupermarket are in fact sufficiently in the pocket of the likes of Experian to turn a blind eye to it.
It is only a couple of months since James Jones was ridiculing a thread of mine on his Twitter account because someone had suggested it might not be the real James Jones, Head of Experian Consumer Affairs who was posting here. Well now it isn't, and it is just a stinking corporate mouthpiece. I wonder if they each disinfect it before they pick it up? I guess not, and maybe it doesn't matter as they all get paid to turn a blind eye to local infections and spout the same old rubbish.
Banks are so crooked that any turnover makes them money. It does not matter whether it is fraudulent turnover or moneylaundering turnover. It is all banking turnover and it earns someone a bonus.
Similarly, Credit Reference Agencies are so crooked that any personal data throughput makes them money. It doesn't matter whether the data is accurate or not - as long as it is linked to a real name like mine or yours they can make it stick. Then they make money by shovelling it.
Sh`t shovellers. Scum.
Experian owe me an answer to the last email I sent them which I asked to be passed to James Jones.
Neither Barclaycard or Experian have said what went wrong but Barclaycard have now directly contradicted Experian by agreeing that the date of birth should have been checked. Experian obtusely argue that date of birth is not essential as a core check of accuracy for an existing customer and will as a result daily create records for us all which record more than one date of birth.
Their role in our society is totally corrupted. Western societies do not need the likes of Experian. There are successful European economies where CRAs have no role. Their greedy snouts have thus far been kept out of citizens' business, although I have no doubt they are weedling their way in by all means fair and foul.
They are a big brother organisation. Expose your life to them at your peril.0 -
Hardly surprising. Having recently checked my credit reports with all 3 agencies, not one of them held a report on me that was error free. Experian are missing a mobile phone contract and had linked an address to me where I'd never lived; Call Credit/Noddle incorrectly report me as not being on the electoral register at my current address and Equifax hold absolutely no financial data on me whatsoever.DEBT FREE!
